      Hey Brother, quick question:
      Is it possible to run your own purple teaming business?
      Is there such thing as blue teaming contractor work?
      My friend and I were thinking of starting our own Cybersecurity company one day way in the future once we are qualified and I was just wondering if it's possible to even be a blue team contractor, I want to do blue teaming, he wants to do red teaming, so we thought maybe a purple teaming company could be great

    I cannot thank you enough for this! I actually commented months back asking how to get into digital forensics and although I know you didn't make this video for me I appreciate it & all the work you do so much! It's been a really hard road for me trying to get into CS and even though I'm not there yet your insight is invaluable to me, so thank you again. Took me six days to get through the InfoSec course and I start the RIT course on Monday - can't wait! Keep doing your thing mate, you don't know how much positivity you're bringing to the world.

    You're a godsend. Being relatively new to CySec, working as an ISSO (and sometimes also as a fill-in Sys Admin, hence your point on titles), forensics is the direction I want to move towards but pathway mentorship is been a bit lacking. My question, is regarding the Google Cybersecurity Cert that you recommend. IMO opinion, good training never hurts anyone but in this case I currently hold the CompTIA Trifecta & CySA+ and am about to knock out RHCSA (and maybe also Lin+, we'll see). I haven't looked into the Google Cyber Cert and am wondering if it will bring any new material that hasn't been covered by the Sec/CySA+ and would be more of just a refresher course at this point? Bypass the Google and head into the INFOSEC?

    2. What level of programming is one that a cyber forensic investigator with healthy ambitions should pursuit? For example, Python basics or Python fundamentals, or Python advanced, or going deeper?

Can't afford SANS for now. Also, do modern cyber forensics investigators need something like Comptia Network+ or the network topic is covered enough in the GoogleCybersecurityCertificate and in the other certificates from your roadmap. EnCase is a very popular software, but I would do that only after you finish this Roadmap, you need to first learn more about forensics and get some confidence and even try to land a job, then you can learn something like EnCase if your job demands
      doing the certs in this roadmap will cover everything you need so encase will just be another software to practice with

    so with that said. do you have any advise on good books i can buy off amazon or any other things to study, any programs i need to use etc.? any other ways i can develop strong cyber forensics skills? im more about developing the skills and knowledge more so than a job or a piece of paper saying i have a degree. i just want to be strong in this kinds of catagories of my skill set.

      I never recommended CEH. If you want to learn ethical hacking, follow this roadmap:

      another thing is everyone just talking about road map or tutorial but no one give proper guide for how to apply on companies for job. and how to clear interviews it is a what kind of problem have to face etc can you make a detail video about it and what if someone want to do remote job and I am a just student so I don't have any tech related degree I can do it @@UnixGuy

      you are wrong again. Spend the time and watch my videos, you will find that I talk about these things; instead of writing comments questioning whether this roadmap is valid and complaining why ‘everyone’ is not giving you what you want

    Quick questions mister Unix. Do you have audiovisual presentations where we could actually see any of the projects/tasks/contracts/activities related to Cyber that really gives a REAL example as to what it is you have done?
    A very important aspect of feeling encouraged is to ACTUALLY SEE job related activities, not just millions of words well put together, and hundreds of advices well organized in the form of words.
    More often than not, humans tend to either dislike or appreciate something quicker when they get visual examples of real tasks, and not just a bunch of blah blah blah.
    For those of you NPC's out there, in no way I am willingly disrespecting UnixGuy, but I genuinely feel that at least 3 good, detailed experiments would be more interested-viewer friendly.
    Most UA-cam creators either in Cyber or pretty much any other tech field, are just blah blah blah, it would be an honor to see actual work, at least those work pieces that can be publicly shared. I do not know, my 2 grains of useless salt. Hopefully someone could recommend me some tech UA-camrs who actually showcase real visual examples of what it is to perform any given task at a job.

    • @UnixGuy
      @UnixGuy  4 місяці тому

      so you basically want to see me performing work relaed tasks, similar to someone showing video game play ?
      I’m planning to post some tutorial, but the issue is that, what would that accomplish? I can guarantee that you will learn nothing from watching me do things, the only way you will learn is by doing things yourself
      having said that, I will be posting some tutorial/walk throughs next year, but thats not the focus of this channel. This channel is dedicated to helping people get their cyber security job

    • @anotherrambler2121
      @anotherrambler2121 4 місяці тому

      @@UnixGuy you sir, are correct. Your channel is dedicated to help people get their cyber security job. Now, it would be an honor to see you perform, and although some people might not give a flying cent about it, some others might infact, find purpose. Again, you are more than Free to continue doing the immensely excellent work you have been doing thus far, however, keep in mind, should you choose to do so, that there are at least 3 people I know that would be astonishingly amazed to see such big tech person like you perform what they preach.
      Hopefully one day, who knows. Thanks for your time and dedication throughout your UA-cam career.
