Given that Data-Sora is effectively an AI, and Computers Are Fast, I choose to believe that this is how all the battles actually canonically went down.
Normally I watch TAS on x2 speed (more so if a RPG with a ton of cutscenes) but the runner commentary force me to watch this on normal speed and it was decent enough to keep me entertained. Great job. I hope the runner keep doing commentary for any other runs he may make.
I completely forgot that I made a comment on this a year ago, but this is still a great tas! The core gameplay is one of the reasons why I adore this game and seeing it flow so well in this tas is so awesome! Great job!
This game is actually quite nice when you don't bother at all with the story. My biggest complaint had always been that it was way too over the top, even for a Kingdom Hearts game, but without all of that, this comes out as an impressive and solid experience. It's still miles below any other KH title though.
It's better than KH 358 2 Days in the gameplay department. Especially the level up system, which KH 358 2 Days had the WORST level up system in the series. Still, both KH Re Coded and KH 358 2 Days suck compared to KH BBS.
recoded actually doesnt bother me storywise because its not part of the overall storyline.its just there to connect previous games to kh3d and is referenced a few times in kh3.because its its own thing,it avoids being nomura-ed.gameplaywise,its probably one of the most enjoyable kh games(needs a bit more polishing tho)
well, then recoded made everything worse because its the reason we have to fight young xehanort and we lost all kh2 abilitys and combat. i can kinda see why people hate recoded now.
I know this is two years late, but any move that can’t be interrupted(AKA magic and limit breaks) will break through Fatass over there. If you have Heavy Blade, your normal attacks pierce through Large Body’s guard, too. Doesn’t work against Defenders, though...
Data-Riku isn't all that bad once you get the hang of it. The main thing you're gonna wanna do in it is have Block Round equipped, so that way you can continuously block when he does his Dark Aura attack thingy, cause if you get caught in it, you're gonna be taking heavy damage. It's a matter of blocking, and patience. He's a tough boss first time around. Trust me, I died A LOT to him on my first playthrough.
That keyblade has another useful clock ability which makes every single hit a critical, if you had had also that you would've been a lot more overpowered than you already were
You'd be surprised how fast the combat is, and is objectively the best command deck and finisher mechanic Yes it's flashy but it all connects well. BBS is 2nd, and DDD/3D? I don't know how combat flows there
The map on the bottom screen shows the amount of bugged enemies on that floor, along with how many you've defeated. It only shows the tally in map mode, however. As for the gauge in the top left corner of the top screen, that displays your progress with the floor's challenge. It's possible to complete a floor without completing the challenge, but SP gets deducted from your current amount if you do so.

Plzpetmyrooster well there’s curaga at least. And the spells in kh3 are wayyy more fun and better than in any other game in the franchise and have way more properties and things you can do with them. But you’re right I do miss the other fun spells.
Difficulty only effects damage and the heartless' drops if I recall correctly So keeping it on standard is no big deal, in fact it may make some things easier to get his HP down to critical slightly faster
actually,a tas is pretty impressive on a technical level even tho it doesnt test human skill.testing and scripting for the optimal route can go on for months
Making a really good tas is reaaaally hard because while it doesn’t require the physical skill of a real time run, it requires lining a lot of things up perfectly, knowing the exact windows for everything from movement to attacks by the exact frame, etc. plus there’s certain things a human can’t physically do that a tas can, and it takes experimentation with tas to figure out that it’s even a thing at all, so a lot of the work goes into testing things
Given that Data-Sora is effectively an AI, and Computers Are Fast, I choose to believe that this is how all the battles actually canonically went down.
If you take in account that it is an AI of Sora then you can discard the I part of AI.
