Merry Christmas Josie... thank you for your nice videos especially your videos in Indonesia
Hi, I’ve just subscribed because of your bright upbeat and informative style!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it. ☺️🫶🏼
the yellow paste-like filling is the mung bean that is sometimes mistakenly called green bean. the red filling is likely red bean.
If you literally translate it from Vietnamese to English, then yes, it's called green beans (but it wasn't meant to be literally translated like that since we know it in English as mung beans). With that being said, the outer layer of the mung bean is green, but for desserts like that, it's the shelled version that's used.
I love Vietnamese coffee and street FOOD, sister
I love it too! Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
thanks for the show
Love your videos!
Thank you so much Radhika!!! So happy you like them 😁🥰❤️

The "soup" in Bún Chả is fish sauce mix with sugar to make it sweet

When having “bun cha”, we usually put the meatball into the bowl. The taste of meatball then will be a different stage.
Ẩm thực VN là một ma trận bạn cần có một thời gian tương đối để khám phá nó,chỉ ăn sáng thôi tôi đảm bảo với bạn 30 ngày không đụng hàng mà còn ngon bổ rẻ😀

THANK YOU JESSICAAAA 😁😁😁
Выглядит очень красиво и аппетитно 😋
🍊Those small balls are generally called bánh rán (bánh = pie/pastry/bread, it's an umbrella term, rán/chiên = fry , so the basic translation is "fried pastry, or fried balls referring to their shape)
🍊The fillings vary a lot, but the common type is mashed mung bean with coconut (mostly it will be paired with the sugared / sugar glazed coat on the crust), and then there's a savory type (minced porlk, vermicelly, wood ear, carrot etc..., kinda like a fried pork bun but substitute wheat in the crust with glutinous rice flour
🍊There are different names for each of the variants , but from your purchase there were
- bánh rán mè (fried sesame ball with mung beans/coconut shreds filling imo)
- bánh cam (orange donut - if it's appearance wise, shaped like a donut, and dunked in amber-hue sugar glazed which gives it its name.
(I'm not sure about the others in the bag tho)
vừng = sesame
@@nanaovitan yep, vừng (used in northern/central Vietnamese ) and mè (used in southern VNmese), just synonyms
@@nanaovitan Who asked?

Thank you so much for watching! 😊🙏🏼 I wasn’t able to go to Sa Pa, maybe next time. Enjoy your trip!
I feel so jealoussss the food looks delicious! 😅 The way they did the sandwiches, it reminds of Cambodia. 'Fu' (idk how to spell it), in Cambodia we also have it too. Cambodia and Vietnam are the same, even the languages 🇰🇭 🇻🇳

Bún Chả (boon cha) is also my favorite. My wife taught me to put all the ingredients in the soup (meat, noodles, greens). But hey, as long as you love that same dish I love I will allow you to join the Bún Chả fan club which includes Obama.
Beautiful ❤️❤️
Nice 👌

Hi Josie, I’ve just recently stumbled on your videos and I absolutely love them ❤. Thank you for sharing your experience about our beautiful country Vietnam and Hanoi city. I wonder if you are still here in Hanoi on January 12th? If food is your passion, I’d love to invite you to our Tết event where you’ll get to try all of Vietnamese traditional food and activities for this biggest holiday. Please reply to me if you are interested ❤❤

You choose Vietnam as a tourist destination or you want to live a lifetime is very correct because Vietnam is a free place with no restrictions on anything, just don't do anything illegal, eat and drink freely, no rules. When you and the elderly need a rule of thumb in Vietnam, where do you want to go, do whatever you want to eat, and as long as you have money, you can live in Vietnam 100%
Tuyệt vời 👍
Thank you! 😁😁
Halo, i'm from indonesia
Bun chais just one of the most deliciuos foods in HN, we have Cha Ca La Vong, Bun Dau Mam Tom ^^ you can try them
NEVER recommend bun dau mam tom to a Westerner unless they have acquired a taste for mam tom already. Many Vietnamese people cannot eat that, so why would you recommend it to someone who is not familiar with the food?
Ok.ngon quá em ơi like em nhé
Goddamnnnn, I'm so hungry just by watching this video!!! 🤤🤤🤤
Hi there beautiful josiel ❤️❤️❤️
Wellcome to việt nam anytime
What’s a jumper in Australia ? I thought it was overalls or a romper?
A jumper is a sweater in Australia! 😆

I would like to meet you at the Ho Chi Minh site
I'm going to Hanoi in 4 weeks, my first visit to Vietnam. Did you have any problems with the language barrier? It seems many menus have photos on them so that's a big help. And I'm sure all the hotels and major transport hubs have English speakers. Just a bit worried about ordering food in some spots, I'm really not keen on weird meat like tripe in my soup. Thanks!
So excited for your visit!!’ How exciting! Is it your first trip overseas or just first time to Vietnam??
There is some language barrier like all countries that don’t have English as a prime language, but most restaurants would have English on the menu for you to point etc.
if you like to eat more street food and local, like I like to do, there’s sometimes not a lot of English so I would suggest to learn a few basics, especially if you’re worried about meat practise learning the word for “pork” or “beef” or whatever you prefer!
In every country we have gone I generally learn basics of the language and then how to say “no sugar” for my coffee and “no chilli” for my food because they’re my important things when ordering 😂😂
@@josieliftsthings my 5th trip to Asia (I've been to India 4 times). It was weird in India because SO many people understood English a bit. Always someone nearby to help if need be. I'm keen on street food but just worried about weird meats as I mentioned! I'm not much of a videographer but have some India vids on my channel. Thanks I'll watch more of your Vietnam vids now.
@@RedAndtheBlackRocker Vietnamese can understand basic English. So dont worry and talk slowly, they will understand you

it's funny the way you eat bun cha. Combine the meat and bun together dip it in the sauce. You don't eat meat and bun separately like that. Btw, it's called "BUN CHA" not "BANH". Pronounce B U N, not B A N H.
Actually, it's pronounced "boon" with the Vietnamese accent.
@@KP-xi4bj The way she pronounced it sound exactly like "BANH" which means a "cake" or "baguette" in Vietnamese
@@musicful7036 She pronounced it like any English speaker would, that is without the Vietnamese accent.
@@KP-xi4bj No, check out other youtubers who are Westerners, many of them don't pronounce "Banh". I think she was confused with "Banh mi", she might have thought it was the same pronunciation.
@@musicful7036 She pronounced it "bun" just like the pronunciation of that word in English. Listen to her again.
As a Vietnamese, I think Bun cha is overrated. It's not good as Pho or Bun bo Hue
Wrong, they're both equally good. It depends on the season/weather. On a hot day you'd want to eat bun cha and on a cold day you'd want to eat pho or bun bo hue. Obviously, you're not Vietnamese.

If you don’t know the foods here in Vietnam please keep silence, nobody thought you are idiot! Because of that shytt mindset you will never become better. If have money and time, go out of your country to see the world around instead of stay home and tell bad things another country!
How do you know dog meat is delicious? It tastes bad? You are making up the story.
@@dashwoo706 For the Korean, Chinese or Vietnamese now, that meat is not popular much, very few place that food available! For me, i don’t eat so what to tell you now?
