Hi mate, one vid to love and relax again. The NUX trick works. I want one!!!! You may call me a greedy bastard..... I have the NUX MG-30 already, and I love it. Here is another thing I discovered in the app, you can export your presets through a QR code. Can you please post your 4 presets to your Patreon Dave? I love your presets and saves me 1 hour of programming.... Instructions on how to share your patch. 1. Go to your preset. 2. Click the share button. 3. Select: Share Patch by QR. 4. Give it a name, eg:DS-Clean 5. Make a screen copy. 6. Post the image on your Patreon or on your UA-cam community channel You can import QR codes through the app. Select share and import QR.
I don't watch much UA-cam guitar stuff, but I just ordered one of these and your video popped up. Great content. It's like the old days of UA-cam when everything didn't suck
Thank you soooooo much for doing a review on this dave, because ive been thinking of buyin this for awhile but was afraid it being a waste of money BUT DAMN! This thing is rad and with the app that comes with it just makes it even better and i still cant believe of how it sounds. Dave your a legend!🤘
This video ticks all of the boxes, interesting and entertaining, your playing was epic. Every so often I visit people on the Isle of Wight and I’m confined to headphones. I have a Vox headphone amp which is ok but I miss effects and tones. I considered taking a Spark amp to use with headphones but in a rush, another thing to carry, I just played acoustically. That Nu-x would be absolutely perfect, sounds amazing, slips into your guitar case, no tones or effects missing. Thank you for another brilliant video Dave.
HOLY SHITE ! ... amazing playing to that backing track. I have the MP2 by NUX , it's bloody amazing. New sub here right away after hearing your playing. You truly have golden fingers 👍👍👍☮☮☮🤘🤘🤘
Awesome review, super entertaining!! I have had the one before this for many years (the mp2) and the fact I can throw it in a guitar case and take it anywhere is amazing. I also suggest buying one of those bluetooth speakers that can accept an aux cable and using it as a portable jamming amp.
I think they are excellent too. I think they are bypassing stores and using Amazon more. Nux and beating guys like strymon on things like amp factory. Offering much more and for half the price too
Sounds great! Now we go to Gilmour land! Wish you were here but if you were you couldn't make these great videos. I always start my day with your tunes because they are so tasteful. Thank you.
I'm not trying to inflate your ego, but your improv skills are masterful. You should go live in Nashville or Austin. I know you are more into the music than the money, but damn man! You should not be contained.
That last solo was inspirational, better than the intro, you really got that sucker dialed in. Thank you for the demo. Is it much better the the mighty plug? I know that it now has volume controls on it that people were really wanting.
My band mates got this for me for my birthday recently (50th ugh)... Really a cool little device, barelsy scratched the surface. Great vid as always Dave!
I bought one on Amazon in the United States and it was faulty (it doesn't work)... shipping it back to the US is more expensive than buying a new one. So be careful with buying it outside, they don't seem to have much quality control.
I've discovered your channel about a month and a half ago and after watching many videos including this one, I've realized; I absolutely suck at guitar lol. I'd love to be able to play the way you do. I will say, my MP-2 was a great investment that allows me to practice everyday so I can try and get a little better.
Dave. this was so nice to see how excited and how much fun you have had with this gadget (headphone amp). But I'm getting a little fuzzy with all the possibilities this thing has. Keep it up. Good to see you're in your green zone. Sorry for a little late to response. 😉
Dude!! You are amazing!! You are so musical, i bet Nux is so proud!! I'll get one of these for sure!! Have a nice weekend!! Greetings from sunny mexico 🇲🇽
This thing is epic, I just bought the nux mighty air and that’s incredible, this thing you can plug in throw the headphones on and wander around the house or anywhere playing, awesome! Nux is on a roll! You should try and get hold of the mg-30 or mg-300 multi fx pedal as they are getting good reviews and I’m actually torn between getting one of your zoom g2.1u’s which you love or the newer nux for bang for buck alternative. 🙌👍
I had the older model and I was already considering getting another just in case and Im glad I didnt so I can grab this. Love these and practicalities aside I'd easily use the tones live into a PA or something. Awesome sounds, period, but especially for what it is
Now that the Katana Go is available, would you change anything in this review? I was going to buy a Katana Go, but they’re sold out in NZ - so was wondering if I should buy one of these. A comparison review might be interesting. Lovely playing by the way - and the V100 with P90s sounds great, innit?
Inspirational playing as usual. Any chance of some screen shots of your four personalised sounds so we could emulate them.... Not that many, if any, of us could come close to your playing 😘
Mate that last backing tracks was amazing. Thank you for your inspirational playing. Certainly a great time to be a guitar player, with technology being able providing all of these options. New guitarist are so spoilt with the options such as this. Kudos Dave!
Came back to this from the lates vid on the new NUX mighty space - I can't justify 360 quid on another practice amp right now, but I do use my Fender Mustang Micro headphone amp quite a lot, which this looks very similar too except this has the nice app with more customisation options - so just ordered one.
I would guess Nux will release a slightly "warned up" version for Christmas 2022?? The "All new for Christmas 2022" pro II ultra?? Or pro II ultra max that comes in designer colors and has 2 additional reverbs?reverb??
What if you are really having some bad economy issues and take an 1/8 cable and put 1/4 inch adapter to plug into a solid state smp? I am sorry to say this but I had purchase a 40 year old peavey solid state 35 wat amp from ebay. I am planning on purchasing one of these and plan to use it with headphones but it would be very cool if it could slightly multi task for about the next 8 months. In other words could it double as a multi effect for a few months?? Got any suggestions for good sounding CHEAP headphones that sound good with this digital stuff??
Congratulations, fantastic touch and amazing sound in the intro "the Shimmer" like style of Gilmour. I love it!! I spent many and many time to try to reach this sound but without success... Can you help me please? Can you share the preset? 🙏 Thank'you veru much!! Great Tutorial!! Greetings, Claudio
Waiting for mine. This thing seems to have even a good volume dynamics as in the backing track @29:45 when you roll the volume pot on the guitar to go from cruch to distortion. Good to know!
I've got this plug for bass, using it as an interface to record onto an android tablet but I'm getting crosstalk from my drum tracks onto my bass tracks which I don't get from my other audio interfaces (zoom and Beringer) Any ideas how to eliminate that as I like the sounds I can get through this plug over the zoom.
Great playing, great sound. I enjoyed it a lot. Could you please share the presets you programmed and used in your demo ? (Would be so great to have them without trying to match the sound by trial and error)
I've been contemplating the getting the Mustang Micro but i'm guessing you have tried that and your opinion of it is included against this? Defo gave me something to think about. Would you consider sharing your presets for us? Thanks
This one is definitely better. The phone or tablet interface makes this thing easy to handle and teak, the possibilities are endless and you can load your own backing tracks, IRs, etc. Plus it comes with way more amps, and effects stock compared to the Fender Micro. Not to mention you can livestream, record, bluetooth, etc.
I tried the Fender Micro Mustang headphone amp but didn't like the sound quality. There was a nasty fizziness around each note. Seems the NUX may be a better option.
I’ve got the fender mustang mini headphone / Bluetooth amp thing it’s pretty cool little thing can blue tooth backing tracks thru it and stick it on the end of my pedal board to get my pedals . Sounds awsome that little fender thing but it’s £100 now
Awesome as always. Very Cool headphones amp. The Nu-X gear looks/sounds amazing. I have a Joyo Jam Buddy that handles my Low Volume take anywhere amp needs but will probably end up with one of these after your cool demo/review. cheers.
Another great and informative video - thank you. This looks a fantastic little headphone amp for recording. It looks pretty similar to my Fender Mustang Micro which has similar features although I haven't used the Bluetooth. The price is hugely competitive - cheap enough to get one for the toolbox if I needed. I notice some Paul Kossoff influences coming through in your past videos which caused me to attempt 'Be My Friend', wow, a real challenge but worth every minute in effort for the influence it lends ( hope I can play it one day!) It made me realise just what a mind blowing guitar maestro and creator he was. Food for thought...maybe a Kossoff tutorial some time? As usual, I so enjoy your communication and will certainly check out the Mighty Plug Pro. Stay cool and keep sending out. Peace and love.
This is crazy. I am sitting here watching this video while waiting for the speaker to play through with my mighty plug 2 to arrive. What a coincidence. Going to do some experimenting with some setups, I'll let you know what comes of it. Thanks for the backing tracks link. Wow, it just got delivered, This is crazy, gotta go. Try to stay cool. And as always keep on rocking.👍✌️😎
hi Dave i have the mighty lite that is good, just ordered this headphone amp £56 on Amazon what good value hope Nux say thanks to you for review, cheers ian
Oh my God. That's what I get lost in. I don't have any shimmers but Valhalla does me wonders. Awesome playing man. I hope to be half that good !!! You are inspiring as hell.
Sounds Great man! I get same experience from mustang micro and I'm not headphones fan either...right on man..if u haven't tried the fender micro give it a shot
@@jimmyjimmy951I'm getting mixed messages about the Fender Mustang Micro. I think they are excellent too. I think they are bypassing stores and using Amazon more. Nux and beating guys like strymon on things like amp factory. Offering much more and for half the price too
Agreed. Their dual delay is ridiculously good for the money. Especially when compared to the Strymon Dig which is three times the price.
