Hi , I just watched ur video for trapping fungus gnats . I've tried (and still trying) most common sense approaches . I've gotten rid of the majority but some still linger . I'm gonna try what u suggested with yellow paper & Vaseline . Thanks
Very informative thank you, sometimes I stretch Saran wrap or cling wrap rather over the mouth of the glass and down the sides, making it taught. Then i poke a couple of small holes with a toothpick. They don't seem to have the brains to get back out. But maybe I don't need to do that, haven't watched this video. Again, thx.
Thanks its 2021 and i have these horrible tiny little flying things coming into my caravan so i have followed your suggestions no yellow paper so colouring in is fun, and all i have is a clear lemon squeezer so hopefully some success worth the try as NEW ZEALAND IS IN LOCKDOWN AGAIN, AGAIN, MAYBE TILL THE END OF SEPTEMBER
Hi Garry, thank you for such sn informative video. I was wondering this sticky straps should be put every one of indoor plants at home or just a few would be enough?
I've yet to see a gnat stuck in the vaseline. I'd love to hear from anyone who saw them work before I waste more time! The purchased sticky glue traps work well.
Glue traps work well but the Vaseline has worked. Please check out The Rusted Garden Seed & Garden Shop for all your gardening needs at www.therustedgarden.com & Please Ring the Bell (next to subscribe) to get immediate real-time video notifications. Thanks
Great Idea Gary I well definitely have to try that In my Indoor garden can you use that same methed In your outdoor garden I have problems every year with squash vine bores and squash bugs I hear that thay are attracted to the color yellow I have even heard that there are certain garden Pest that are attracted to the color blue
I never thought to use Vaseline in yellow strips. Thanks! I'm about to do my seed starts and I've already seen a couple gnats sneak through the patio door!
Vasoline doesn't work, AT ALL. ACV works great BUT you must use the organic unfiltered ACV. If it's clear with no cloudiness at the bottom..it won't work. BRAGG'S is an excellent brand. Trader Joe's carries the raw organic unfiltered ACV but most grocery stores do not.
OMG NOOOO the very first thing you tell people to do in the video is just leave a bowl of plain ole apple cider vinegar... this is useless & will only feed the flies more!! The vinegar does not kill them. You’re suppose to mix a drop of dish soap into it.🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
@@thebigbadwolf472 yes. But you have to put it in a bowl then covered the bowl with Saran wrap or tinfoil that you have poked holes in with a toothpick or something similar. They fly to the vinegar solution through the holes and can't get back out.

Yep that works.
Would this work for fleas as well?
Green light attracts fleas. Flashing green lights, 10 minutes on, 5 seconds off attract even more fleas.

I used regular vinegar and a drop of dish soap. It is working well. I am going to try the yellow sticky paper.
