100 percent agree. This is amazing music and on a entirely different level than everything after.
Not alone, but def in the minority. This sound although lovely sounds just like any other nu metal band from the 2000s. Their new sound is def unique especially compared to what's out currently.
I'm with you on that as well. This was the best use of Maria's voice and the guitarists actually played something. "Blood" wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. The albums after were just......let's just say much less than stellar.

This is the "In this moment" I fell in love with...
Darkzeed this is the first song they played the very first time I saw them when they opened for Mudvayne back in 08' or 09'. I had no idea who they were and I immediately fell in love with the band. I went to every show when they passed here through Dallas. I moshed my heart out dude. I went to see them when they were close to releasing the blood album and she kept playing all her new stuff.... I haven't been back to see them since. I'm so happy I got to see them in their prime when their music was so powerful.
100% AGREE. Their first 3 albums were pure gold, then Blood comes out and it's still heavier than Black Widow and Ritual, but doesn't have that same kick except maybe one or two songs. Black Widow and Ritual are too auto-tuned and they obviously care more about appearance than making good music, and they NEVER perform any of their older songs anymore.
Yeah and they're dead. It makes me really sad, I wish they would have expanded on this style.

exactly my thoughts, first 3 were amazing! then it started going downhill, still some good albums but it was never as good as the first 3.
Somehow it feels like there are two kind of fans. The ones who love the old stuff, dont like the new music and the other way. Im just sitting here and love every fucking song they have.

@@MaiteWapa44 Most bands evolve, its natural. I'm no huge fan and in my opinion "A Star-Crossed Wasteland" was the last good album. Didnt like their new sound and the lack of self respect they had in "Blood" was a turnoff for me. They peaked in "The Dream" imo.
she's definitely one of the best female vocalists ever, met her at the all stars tour yesterday and she was wicked nice and she sounded perfect live

sure the transition between their first three albums and the theatrics of blood was controversial at the time and bound to be criticised. looking back on it now, however, you cannot deny maria brink is one of the most versatile artists ever. everything this band does ages beautifully

Like I have told many people this is their early stuff! Look for the tracks that aren't singles and you might find what you're looking for. She is an amazing singer. I've seen them live 5 times now and her singing vocals are amazing and clean!! It's part of the reason why I fell in love with this band!

She gave a very impressive performance.... and disturbed and sevendust were good.... but KoRn blew them all away. JD was spot on with his vocals, and I absolutely loved the mash up of songs at the end with Ya'll wanna single closing it out.

This is from their second album. Maria has always been a bit of a girly girl but it has mostly shown through in their earlier stuff like this. Their first album was really heavy this one was a bit softer and their third was kind of a mix between the two. Their newest album Blood is the heaviest album I think thus far so if you haven't been following them from the beginning you probably wouldn't know that this was their earlier stuff! You should still LOVE this band! They are amazing live!!!
I remember finding this song in Rock Band 2 but never bothered to look them up for some reason. I also never knew a video was made for this song until tonight. She is fucking beautiful and this song still sounds amazing.

I watch this video at least once a day. Turn the music on at work and let it go. More then half of what I listen to is In This Moment. Maria Brink is so beautiful and her voice is amazing. The band brings it all together and makes it even more powerful.

Growing up in the south, you're considered a freak if you like music like this. The only thing most of the youth in the south listen to is rap, hip hop, pop, and country. Well, I like all of that, as well as metal. And actually, metal is my favorite.

I love this band cause A) the melody and riff range is brilliant and always sounds awesome, and B) Maria has such a versatile voice - she can move between singing and screaming brilliantly. I don't usually like screaming, as i usually find it too jarring. But she makes it almost melodic! (if that makes sense...) Great band

Sick like me was the first In This Moment song I heard and loved it. But no matter how early or late I go with them and their music, their entire evolution is brilliant. I don't think this band is capable of producing typically bad music. They evolved so fast and still kept such strong unique style with them.
