I played this song one night for an ex and former friend. The love doesn't go away even if u know you're bad for one another. I hadn't listened to it much since. We had a good night that night. It's now 2024, and he passed away in December of 2023, two days before Christmas. Bittersweet. U will be missed Michel. Glad we forgave another for our mistakes in our youth.

We met we had an instant connection and we immediately became inseparable, no matter what we go through we always find our way back to each other. I left him and was over 500 miles away once and he drove to me get me back. Our fire for each other is so powerful but when our issues are bad we push each other away as well but never stay away for long.
I’ve seen somewhere someone says this is about a toxic relationship however 2 lines at least for me makes this a highly romantic and strong relationship. These lines are, “the only promise I can make you is that my promise is a lie,;” and “ my promise is I will hurt you.” In other words they are promising that they will hurt each other but that promise is a lie.

This is a great demonstration of Adrian's abilities. It's a shame that Otherwise is still so underground (and highly fragmented, since it's currently just the Patrick brothers again,) but of all the people Maria's a duets, this is by far my favorite and Adrian's still the only one that could keep pace with her in all her ranges, and that's saying something!
