  • The giant turtle of genesis, the Megachelon is the amphibious mobile base of your dreams. It's a shame that the tame is a nightmare! In this video I will show you how to tame the Megachelon and also show you how to use it to its best effect. It is a slow moving and tanky creature, with high health and weight stats. It takes Microbe swarms to tame, and bringing them to the Megachelon is such a pain that you may decide against it! Watch the video to find out more!

      @@ZacharyLoftie-Eaton it is true, but it sort of cheated for me. it started eating the swarm and then climbed up on the side of one of those island towers out of the water. so i really didn't have to do anything but babysit it. the fish that eat the swarm couldn't get to it.

    Been waiting days for a competent guide to the Island Turtle like this one. It is the first one I've seen to declare feeding amount and not just type, in addition that it is in fact able to go on land along with using the bubble breath on land.
    The only thing missing from the video is breeding, in which I've seen it requires being in deep water to breed, in addition that the egg prefers being in the water despite being an egg type like the rex egg. I've seen a truck load of air conditioners unable to get the egg fertilizing when out of water.

      Yeah I don't tend to do breeding in my basic guides, I have to cut out some stuff to keep the videos lean, this one is actually kind of long for one of my videos. Thanks for the info!

    The salmon are actually a scripted part of the taming process, they randomly spawn just behind the megachelon, which why trapping it can actually make it harder. The tame is also broken, in that even after the swarm is gone, the megachelon will eventually tame anyway. I gave up after 3 hours and a dozen or so resets. Logged off, and when I logged in the next day, it was tamed. I didn't notice until I get a death announcement if it being killed by a x-meg.

      Yeah, I am wondering if these dudes were even successful with trapping it. Trapping it seems to only make the salmon worse. When its moving it's easier except for the fact that a shark can spawn right beside it and you're done... Right now the ocean biome is insane because of how fast the sharks can respawn and also if you run into a bubble it spawns sharks to come attack your ass...

  • @thomasdevlin5825
    @thomasdevlin5825 4 роки тому +7

    I can see the bubble breath attack being useful, in shallow water it might not be as good, but if you're deep underwater it's probably gonna buy you allot of time if you don't feel like fighting

    There are other ways to tame this thing to my knowledge. You can knock it out with shocking tranquilizer darts (it will die if you use regular tranquilizer darts) and feed it honey once knocked out. You could also passively tame the turtle with honey in your 9th slot however currently to feed it you must be literally inside it. Just to bring the option to feed the honey, you need to be in the turtle or you can somehow wedge between bits of it’s shell. I would recommend the knocking the “giant doorstop” out and feeding it honey. Seems a lot less stressful.

      ive heard from other youtubers the devs have said that the proper way to tame them is the little fish feeding method, so if wildcard learn to program they might fix these other methods.
      this dlc has a couple of taming bugs, like the ferox's knockout and feed between 1 and 37 berries method. ive had ferox from lvl 30 to 150 and each needed a different random amount of berries to be tamed.
      i consider it a miracle i havent seen one that could be passive tamed with berries, but at this point it wont suprise me.

    There’s a glitch where if u start the tame and leave the rendering area wait 1-2 hrs it will continue to tame and all u have to do is check ur tribe log for the completion then go back to that area. Second to breed them u have to take them to the deepest part of the ocean mate them and hatch the egg down there

  • @ArmitageShanksMC

    After having scienced this more, I've come to the conclusion that the taming will always get reset twice at 50-55%. Having tamed 2, and having both get reset by sharks or eels spawning basically on top of the megachalon. After the second reset on both tames, the first one I mention on my other comment tamed while I was actually offline, my second tame basically tamed without any incident, I just had to kill the sabertooth salmon and coelacanth that were spawning to eat the microbe swarm.
