Join us on another Vancouver Island Island Camping experience!
With the first days of summer behind us, the backroads have become busier and it is getting increasingly more difficult to find places to camp.
But, of course, we are not the ones to give up and ended up at one of the most beautiful waterfalls here on Vancouver Island.
We had camped at this particular spot earlier in the year and were lucky enough that we had it all to ourselves again this time around.
What we did not know, is that the river actually has a series of waterfalls and we only found out once I flew up the drone through this beautiful valley.
So sit back, relax and enjoy our camping adventure, where it appears that Michelle is doing most of the work 🙂

Great spot you had there!
We had the pens for a while, just to hand them out to people we meet along the way. Was a Christmas present from Michelle's parents.
Turns out there's actually three Waterfalls in a row. We did not know this until I flew up the Drone.

They are hard to identify but it's a kind of jelly fungus. If it grows into little funnel shaped "ears" it might be Alpine Jelly Cone (source: Salish Mushrooms). We used to see those around quathet (Powell River) a lot. If you go into the woods and look for a place where water pools on the surface you can find some more really cool fungi.

We can relate to the over business of this time of year for sure.....we had ravers going on until 5am which happened this weekend and you will see next week.
We are heading out for 2 weeks on Saturday, so we will be MIA again but for better reasons.

We just got back yesterday afternoon from a two day trip that did not go as planned at all. No Rave, but logging trucks plowing by. Oh well...not all is perfect.

Hi guys. Truly inspiring. We went to bend creek yesterday on the renamed lake that used to start with an H and now starts with an H haha . Gated and locked so we turned around and stayed at the small G lake up from stirling arm. We are like minded any hint to where the double sided waterfall might be please.

We do not give out any locations of our camping spots. We will have an explainer video coming out this coming Sunday as to why that is.

Nice to see good weather for camping. Too bad about the generator troubles,but good you can send it back. That waterfall was so amazing how it had two sides to it!

You two always find the most beautiful places to camp. I am well past my camping years, so I enjoy your adventures. Beautiful scenery and a beautiful waterfall. Seeing the falls from above is just stunning! The best thing for feet is dipping them in the cool river 😎

you guys made your decision about where you are going for your big trip to the mainland?
We are so undecided, it's not even funny anymore😂. We just spent all weekend at camp trying to decide what we're going to do, but are not any smarter. We will have to figure something out by August for sure and will announce it in a video .
