@@stephensalterpottery haha, ive just read my above comment, from a heavy potter, that should have read Newbie potter haha, hope it made you smile, made me cringe then laugh out loud x
That is a nice big bowl but as a potter myself, I don't understand why you did a flat bottom here rather than a bowl bottom. I work so hard to give my bowls a nice curve on the inside, this seems very foreign to me. Good tip to use your fist, I do this too. Another tip to throw bigger is to use more clay. I see so many people in my classes that want gigantic pieces but they don't want to center a larger chunk of clay
Very nice easy to follow example of how to create a good sized larger bowl. Thank you
You're very welcome!
Absolutely great instruction! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the walk through, need to do This at some point, but big bits of clay are a scary thought. Thanks from a heavy potter x
Take it up one pound at a time! Good luck

I made a bowl with 7 pounds yesterday. Its the biggest I have ever made. Your technique is a bit different and I want to try it.
Good luck! Keep practicing
Great
Thanks 🙏
Do you dry it wrapped or uncovered?
3-4 hours left out after throwing the plastic over night. Monitor plastic on and off over a couple of days
