I know you love zadig & voltaire this is him. Try this is him just rock, it is more intense and less fruity but it smells almost the same but it last longer and I thin you wil like it more
Sebastian... this is my new favorite review of all time. I have watched it 4 times now. I will eventually own all of these! Does Mancera Hindu Kush also belong in this family of smokey fragrances?
Smokey fragrances are one of my favorite fragrance categories. It was great seeing your list of favorites. I love Interlude Man. It has great longevity on me, especially on clothes, maybe it doesn't have as much sillage as the vintage formulation.
@@samgrant83 it's one that gets next to no talk , hopefully you get around to it and enjoy it as much as I do. No matter how long I've not had a smoke , I always want one 😒
Life's too short to not have at least one of these smokey scents. Amourage Interlude Man is my favourite and still very much a total beast mode scent that is long lasting and powerful for me.
Min New York Barrel!! My preferred smoky fragrance. I did not remember you covering any Min NY frangrance, they are all very unique, should be a nice experience to get trough their collection
Smokey wild agarwood oil from royal bengal oud is the smokeyiest fragrance I’ve ever smelt - it’s like standing in a forest after a huge fire when the tree stumps are black
My favorite is A City on Fire. I will guess that your review for the end of next Week will be PK Parfums-Maderas De Oriente Oscuro for a chance to win that cap!
Thanks for the add, Sebastian!!! Yes, aka'ula goes a long way. Always have to remind our gents that so that they don't overdo it but it evolves beautifully on the skin. It is my go-to nighttime frag or cold weather scent every time. - Chris
Hi Sebastian, 4 sprays of the magnetic cap Amouage, gives me headaches and colleagues 3 feet away can smell me strongly. How much stronger do you wish this to be?
Great selection specially Cashmere Oud Mood by MFK! I wished you had Dark Lord by Kilian instead of the one you selected from Kilian that one to me is more smoky! Also Patchouli 24 by Le Labo! Love that one!
Hi Sebastian today I am happy to to discover a new brand called BARUTI. I purchased for the first time an "extrait de parfum" the frangrance name is Perverso it is a smoky perfume too with notes of nutmeg caramel fudge cacao tobacco amber gris...... My room is overwhelmed with Perverso I love this frangrance.....and the other scents of this brand are unique if you don't know.... I hope you will have an eye on BARUTI thanks for this video 👍👍🇧🇪
You left out Comme des Garçons 'Black,' the smokiest fragrance I know. It smells exactly like an autumn campfire, or more like the lingering smell on your clothes after an evening roasting marshmallows on a bonfire. It's a really outdoorsy, fun kind of scent.
I really love the theme, smoky fragrances are my favourite! I've noticed that the designer fragrances almost disappeared from your top-20 videos... do you feel they are not good enough? Sometimes it's so good to hear about something you'd be able to find and try in a local store... or something budget-friendly... Don't get me wrong though, I know it's your personal favourites and it's always interesting to hear about new niche and indie brands :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy Thank you so much for the reply! I really love the US indie fragrances too, I get to know Imaginary Authors from your videos, ordered a sample set and they smell amazing, and they're affordable as well! Now have to try source adage NYC :)
Holy smokes! Thanks so much for this video. Smokey fragrances are my favorite. I'm from Phoenix and I had never heard of La Curie before. Thanks for introducing it- through their stock list I've found a bunch of local shops to check out.
Great video, thanks. I do not know if you ever lived in Austin. Early mornings in the summer has a wonderful burned smell transcend the city. Any idea what kind of wood or vetiver causes that? San Francisco has similar feeling but it is pine and redwood.
Sadly I haven't live in Austin. Have you tried fragrances that feature birch? They generally are smoky a bit leathery. ua-cam.com/video/wliSLEta9ok/v-deo.html
I blind-bought Incendo, and while it does smell like a large forest, to my nose, there is no smoke. Incense? Yes. Resin? Yes. Pine forest? Yes. Smoke? Not to my nose. Your recommendations for A City on Fire, Smoke (Akro) and Bois Sikar are spot on and I have all three! Fabulous smoke fragrances that you recommended and I bought! JMHO, but I think Incendo belongs on either the Incense or the Woody Fragrance videos.
Great list...it was surprising to see Amouage on the list for first timen, BY THE FIRE PLACE is the only smoky fragrance in my collection,when will i get the chance to watch best woody fragrances {minus the oud}
Few others I have that I really like Shaghaf Oud Abyad, Montale Bakhoor, Initio Magnetic Blend #8, and Parfums De Marly Nisean. I know you like Nisean but have you smelt the other 3? What do you think?
I can recognize 4 types of smoke. Birch tar is like used motor oil, Cade oil is nitric, sulfuric like burning match, Labdanum is resinous just like myrrh type frankincense and my personal favourite, the ultra sterile incense which is a 'non-smoky' smoke and beautifully works in the heat or humid. I tip you're gonna present the MFK Cashmere Mood.
I completely forgot... my guess is MFK Cashmere Oud... I know you really like MFK (as do I) and I would love to hear a full review on Cashmere Oud! I live in St Louis!
Great list Sebastian. I would like to add Profumum Roma's Arso (fiery smoky) and Fumidus from same house (smokiest vetiver ever), Dasein' Winter Nights (you reviewed this one), and Hendley's Fume. I am very happy to see Madeiras di Oriente Oscuro included as it is a sublime classy smoky fragrance with creamy sweet almonds accord.
are you reviewing the bois sikar one? i just wanna know if im right i know dis is like 6 months ago but i just wannna know which one is the right one hehe
Umm Where’s by the fireplace, these must be mega if that isn’t here. Great video, there are about 5/6 I haven’t tried yet so looking forward to that. I think you’ll be reviewing the first one “smoke” by akro ? Have a great day
Hello to you! You will make a video about Maison Francis Kurkdjian Cashmere Oud, probably. About Amouage Interlude Man, the reformulated non-magnetic version, you are right about it: it is no longer a beast fragrance. It is just a good Amouage. And the same problem goes for Nasomatto Black Afgano, but even worse. I will end this reformulated Black Afgano botle and never buy it again. I will replace it with Sospiro/Xerjoff Wardasina/Rosso Afgano, which is like an old Black Afgano with a lot of red roses in it.
I will guess that your review will be of MFK Cashmere Oud. Smoke is probably my least favorite note but you made all of these sound really interesting!
Hi Sabastian, I just wanted to comunicate to you about Tobac 28 by Le Labo. There is no Tobacco in it, but it's a smoky Java Vetiver dominant fragrance. I know you like vetiver, so just a tip, in case you haven't tried it...
Carlisle gets smokey on my skin in the drydown. First time i tested it I had to verify if the neighbours were having a barbecue outside cause the smoke was so realistic.
I search for the best creative good performing signature scent. Do you guys have recommendations. I have costume national homme and I have moschino toy boy and a lot of creative fragrances. But non of them could be my signature scent.
Maybe you can answer this since no one ever does...what is the point in having a large collection knowing that they eventually expire and it would take you well over the exp date to use them all? I wanna know before i continue to build my collection..
What is the point of having a lot of anything? This is a hobby. I have the money for it and I'm spending it on things I enjoy and can focus on speaking about on my channel. Make sense??? Plus you can watch this to learn a bit more about why I would need a large collection: ua-cam.com/video/l2WMFEKce1E/v-deo.html

I was going to put Hindu Kush but I didn't since the smoke is less but initially I had it out to include it! :)
Do you know of any affordable smoky scents that have good longevity and projection?
Smokey fragrances are one of my favorite fragrance categories. It was great seeing your list of favorites. I love Interlude Man. It has great longevity on me, especially on clothes, maybe it doesn't have as much sillage as the vintage formulation.
After quitting smoking, these beauties are how I get my fix now 🙏
The decay of the angel by Timothy han & fumidus by Profumum roma are my favourites.

agree, i feel many people fail to mention the mass appealing sweetness it has to it that in the end makes it daring yet really likable

Had no idea about Bergamust Noir being so smoky. Clever!
Sebastian, have you ever gotten your nose on CdG Black edt? Its a fantastic smoky scent at a great price.
I have and love the brand! :)
Try Shaghaf Oud Abyad by Swiss Arabian. It's very close to Interlude Man.
and Supremacy Incense by Afnan.
Awesome rundown! That was a smokefest! My guess for review is Map of The Heart Black Heart Vol. 2. I am in Utah USA. Thanks Sebastian!

Incendo by lacurie smells like the incense burned in Mexico where I’m from. It’s so beautifully nostalgic.

Agreed re Black Afgano. I had a bottle from 2011, which was much stronger than the bottle I bought last year.
Would you consider La Curie Incendo to be a safe blind buy? Is it well blended and not synthetic smelling?
It’s Uber Smokey so not safe blind but!!
Great list and I enjoyed it and i have a sample of andy tauer lonestar memories and im going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
Totally agree on Bergamust Noir. When I first smelled it, I thought it was like a BBQ, albeit a very nice BBQ.
I suppose my guess is BERGAMUST NOIR
Great review. I think your next review will be MFK Cashmere Oud.
You would definitely find interesting some fragrances by Beaufort London. Coeur de Noir for example.
Coeur de Noir - 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks mate. I read your comment then bought samples of all their fragrances and I enjoy them all. Ill be buying CdN and Rake and Ruin next week.
Was DS & Durga’s Burning Barbershop not released when you did this video? That is the smokiest fragrance Ive experienced to date
Sadly haven't owned the Burning Barbershop or smelled it yet. Will have to check it later when I get a chance.
