Volutes is my favorite Diptyque fragrance. The honey is masterful, at the level of Cartier’s L’Envol. Maybe even better. Chergui still stands the rest of time imo - solid scent(and in many ways still unique).
Fumerie Turque is one of the most underrated from the house of Serge Lutens imo. Beautiful scent and classic Lutens. I wish I wasn’t so expensive nowadays.
Listening to this as I sew a quilt and I’m remembering as a child getting to walk through a tobacco factory where my uncle worked- sheaves of leaves hanging and the scent so strong and awesome! Is there a tobacco leaf perfume out there that is a feminine one? That would be heavenly
I have Naxos, my first luxury perfume. Your description of it is perfect. I recently came onto a powerhouse honey/tobacco which is 18.21 Man Made Sweet Tobacco Spirits that you might like. It’s very affordable as well. Could make your budget list sometime.
I highly recommend Tobacco Maniac by Theodoros Kalotinis. I think it tops all the big hitters in this list. Really high quality blend and has a more masculine leaning tobacco yet the edges are filed down to just the right degree by honey and vanilla and an undercurrent of patchouli.
I would have to say that these two notes together have become my favorite combination of notes. The first time I smelled Naxos, I fell in love with the honey and tobacco combo. I also love Alexandria Fragrances take on Naxos, 1981X - the tobacco and honey are very prominent, and it is different enough from Naxos to be worth owning, in my opinion.
I am addicted to honey fragrances and tobacco is such a great partner for it. One that wasn't mentioned is Ambre Superfluide by Les Eaux Primordiales. I get a strong presence of both honey and tobacco along with the cinnamon in there. I love to layer it with Oudgasm Tobacco Oud and a spritz of Burberry Goddess for some sweetness.
Serge Lutens Chergui is wonderful, and I'd say the same for Ambre Sultan and Santal Majuscule. Hope to get those three at some point. Great smells. Checking their webpage I saw that they also manufacture makeup, so technically not a niche house? I do have Mugler's Pure Havane and Pure Malt, tend to prefer the latter. And about Naxos, just noticed it is currently the number 1 in Parfumo among unisex fragrances. Naxos does resemble Pure Havane a lot, as if a more refined and also fresher version of it. Fresher to my nose maybe because of the lavender. I like the smells but both Pure Havane and Naxos seem a bit quite too sweet for my taste. Maybe that's why I prefer Pure Malt to Pure Havane. Must resmell Naxos every now and then, surprised to see it as number 1 there.
Surprised not to see the absolutely beautiful Un Air D’Apogee from Maison Violet! Also, a better blended version of Dior Tobacolor I found it in Zaharoff Signature Tabac, well blended composition, I suggest to try it.
I think I only have 1 honey perfume, Floris’ Honey Oud. I like it more than I want to wear it. I think I’ll put it in the batch of perfumes to give to my nephews when they visit. They’re 24, and I think they may find it interesting.
Absolutely love tobacco honey. It's not too sweet for me, leans masculine, and the oud sesame combo really creates an intoxicating nutty buttery aspect. It's fantastic.
I got my bottle of Chergui in 2008, still have a third left, and I must say the newer bottles are very different. I think it’s gone through several IFRA required reformulations, and not for the better. Still love back to Black too. I just overspray that one.

The only Tabacco and Honey fragrance I have is Tabacco 1812 by West Third Brand. Now I'm curious about this Guerlain. I'll have to check it out. Thank you.
I just smelled my first with Fougere Bengale from Parfum D’Empire. This reminded me of a toffee? But nicely done with the fougere influence. Haven’t smelled anything like this. I was expecting cigarette paper smell or cigar box smell but it’s nothing like that. The honey does come off sweet but not over the top , I really like this combo. Eager to smell the rest of this list.
The amped up lavender in Naxos actually ruined it for me. Lavender is my favorite note but it doesn't play well with the uber-sweet honey for me. Its irritating. So I bought Xerjoff More Than Words instead of Naxos. I have a bottle of A*Men Pure Havane. And I have a few bottles of the original Michael for Men by Michael Kors. Love the dried fruit in it. Way underrated.
I'm very interested in trying Furmerie Turque, those bottles from the Gratte Ciel line are amazing! Love Chergui and Animal Mondain, what was a dislike for Naxos now it's plain hate, can't stand it, Naxos with Sauvage are the only fragrances I really hate. Love the presentation of Guerlain but not interested in try anything from the line or from the Dior exclusives. Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
I never see anyone review bevery hills exclusive. Of course Allen swears by it (obviously) lol and i do prefer it over Naxos. So shout out to Beverley Hills perfumery i will be coming spring shopping soon Allen
I am so glad I didn't blind buy the Tobaccolor from Dior, I can't stand the smell, I find it sickly sweet ans normaly I like sweet fragatnces, but that one smells horrible in my opinion, longevity is great though.
I love this combo too! BTW, what IS the point of the Serge Lutens bell jars? I've never ordered anything from the Flacon du table line because they don't have atomizers, and are, quite frankly, overpriced. Do you have to decant them into bottles that have atomizers?

So I’ve struggled to figure out what is in certain perfumes that’s very off putting. I found it but I’m confused maybe you can help. I bought juliette has a gun and super dose. That’s the smell that I can’t stand. It almost burns my nose. I sampled dedcool milk and I’m in love. What’s the difference? Could it be that I like ambroxan but not iso e? Or is it something else in dedcool milks base?
You probably do not like Ambroxan or Cetalox or anything similar in fragrances. JHAG Not A Perfume Superdose is overdosed Ambroxan/Cetalox/ The Dedcool is amber and musk mostly and mostly a skin scent! :)
IMO the Guerlain Tobacco Honey is not a Guerlain. It has no elegance. I love Amouroud Miel Sauvage, SL Miel du Bois, Back to Black, some days I still like Tobacco Vanille. I don’t get the tobacco/honey notes much in Chergui , Fumerie Turque or Tea for Two although I love those fragrances.

All the nasty things you said about Tobacolor are in fact true for Tobacco Honey by Guerlain! Nasty honey which smells almost like pee (like in Zoologist Bee), nasty & ashy tobacco... nauseating crap. On the other hand, Tobacolor is a sexy businessman's fragrance.

Great list! I strongly recommend Tobacco Maniac by indie Greek house Theodoros Kalotinis too - an absolutely superb blend of these two notes!

Yeah I could have added it but the fragrance doesn't actually feature the note of honey. It's honeyed with the mimosa! :)

I received Tobacco Honey as a gift with Iris Milliseme and fell in love with it. Same with Tabacolor. The two notes compliment each other.

Agreed. It certainly isn't "dirty, smoky, ashy." In fact I just layered it with Zoologist T.Rex as a test. NOW it's dirty, smoky, and ashy!

I discovered serge lutens chergui last week. It’s so intoxicating to me. Love it. And I prefer it to Naxos, that was simply disappointing to me.

I must admit I tried tobacolor and yes that weird note really hit me. Strange plasticity tar smell I found it quite nauseating.
