Kpop can be very different not just as a song itself (most kpop songs change multiple times like this one, which makes it much more interesting to listen to i feel like?), but also depending on which group you listen to. It's not neccessarily just pop, since they seem to get their inspiration from every type of music you have some songs that would be considered rock or just rap and still fall into the k "pop" kategory. A lot of groups also have a changing sound in themselves, where as you might already know what a Taylor Swift or a Lady Gaga song sound like before you hear it you can not always be sure when it comes to those groups. Also I never really wanted to get into kpop before bc I thought it was not as much fun if you don't understand it (like you said), but if you really get into it it doesn't really matter anymore. You kind of just sing along the words you think you might know how to say, and it also helps that they include some amount or words in english. Maybe you want still want to try and look a little bit more into it, kpop has a lot to offer, let it be the music, the videos or the performance (they have a choreography for almost everything). I personally listen to A.C.E, Stray Kids and Ateez, but there are many other goups to check out. (btw Kill This Love was my first kpop video as well, which is why I wrote this xD )

Thanks for giving Kpop a try. It's a genre of music that is DEFINITELY slept on. BTS and BLACKPINK are the biggest music groups right now. Yo BLACKPINK is HUUUGEEE...They performed at Coachella last year and was the biggest act there..They are the most popular girl group now internationally..and that's mostly because they're dope 🔥 and all of the members speak English (well 3/4 of them speak good English..meaning there's no weird thick accent). Their label YG Entertainment is one of the legendary companies in Kpop (but they're not really fair to their artists.. I'll explain in future comments). YG's signature style is hip-hop and definitely edgy badass and darker than most groups. BLACKPINK is signed with Interscope Records in their Western releases.
-*Jennie* (swan scene and black-haired rapper) was born in South Korea but lived a lot of her years in New Zealand so her English is impeccable 👌.

The work Kpop groups put into their careers is no joke. People who turn down Kpop without giving it a chance WILL BE missing out a lot. Talk about being close-minded. (I would know because I was one of those people who dissed Kpop without understanding just how their industry is NEVER lazy..They always go all-out). Kpop definitely needs the respect that it deserves.

Kpop can be very different not just as a song itself (most kpop songs change multiple times like this one, which makes it much more interesting to listen to i feel like?), but also depending on which group you listen to. It's not neccessarily just pop, since they seem to get their inspiration from every type of music you have some songs that would be considered rock or just rap and still fall into the k "pop" kategory. A lot of groups also have a changing sound in themselves, where as you might already know what a Taylor Swift or a Lady Gaga song sound like before you hear it you can not always be sure when it comes to those groups.
Also I never really wanted to get into kpop before bc I thought it was not as much fun if you don't understand it (like you said), but if you really get into it it doesn't really matter anymore. You kind of just sing along the words you think you might know how to say, and it also helps that they include some amount or words in english.
Maybe you want still want to try and look a little bit more into it, kpop has a lot to offer, let it be the music, the videos or the performance (they have a choreography for almost everything).
I personally listen to A.C.E, Stray Kids and Ateez, but there are many other goups to check out. (btw Kill This Love was my first kpop video as well, which is why I wrote this xD )
