The supercharged V8 Trike in this video is designed and manufactured by Normanby Custom Fabrications and is the result of several years planning
and research by the business owner Dave Kindberg, and Colin Hook, the manager of Normanby Custom Fabrications.
Dave is well known for award winning car upholstery, and for his 1939 Lincoln Zephry custom built delivery sedan.
This vehicle has also won may show awards and gets lots of attention wherever it goes.
Colin has a wealth of experience in fabricating body panels, and rebuilding to a high standard collector vehicles that would have been
considered past ever resurrecting.

Building a V8 powered Trike is nothing new, but what sets this one off is the 4litre Lexus motor is supercharged, the front suspension, wheel and steering is more car like, with the finished result being a V8 Supercharged Trike with superior steering, braking and roadholding.
In this video you will see this custom built Trike is very manourverable with a good turning circle both left and right.
Plus it is a pleasure and great fun to drive.
Normanby Custom Fabrications will build a V8 Trike to order, they have the necessary designs registered, tested and certified allowing them to do this.
Each V8 Trike will be unique as the client can choose any V8 motor from a small capacity one up to a big block, with a transmission to suit.
The V8 can be supercharged or normally aspirated, plus dressed and modified to clients requirement provided it keeps within the Trikes specification and certification.
An option is a client can provide his own motor and transmission, the chassis design is set to take a Jaguar XJ40 diff.
A wise choice as these rear suspension and diff units give good suspension and roadholding, are plentiful and spares are available.
Want To Do Your Own Finishing?
Not a problem as Normanby Custom Fabrications will supply a rolling chassis only, or finish the Trike to whatever stage a client wants.
Building the body for you later when ready can be arranged.
Sales are not limited to New Zealand. Overseas inquiries are becoming regular and it is anticipated the first order outside of New Zealand
