- In this video, we visit a small mountain town on the state line between Tennessee and Kentucky. It has abandoned buildings, an explosive history, and it's also my original home town.

Evocative photos of a town personal to you. Lovely that you can get an oral history from your family. Thanks for sharing. Love the dog and the collections at the end!
Thank you for watching Emma! It's always nice hearing from you.
Lovely town. Wonderful history. Thank you for sharing. Videos like this allow me to visit places I would not be able to travel to. America’s is so incredibly interesting.
Thank you for watching and commenting! What part of the world are you in?
My grandparents raised there children there my grandfather was Marshall teague i remember visiting them there when i was young they rest there now so does my father i visit as much as i can i herd many old storys last i was there didnt seem quit the same .
Bucks Jellico Hardware looks like my kind of store. I just love the old style hardware stores and it appeared to still be operating. Amazing they are still in business with competition from all the mega-chains.
Maybe they have the advantage of nearly no competition from big stores in the vicinity.
Hi, Keith.
I responded to your last video, but my response disappeared again,
But I really enjoyed watching it.
Especially where those old tools hung on the wall are beautiful, I would like to spend some time there.
Your photos are, as usual, very beautiful.
And the more I watch your videos the more interested I become in them.
It's a shame that these types of abandoned buildings cannot be found.
We are too small a country for that.
Thank you for this video.
Say hello to Teena for me.
Kind Dutch greetings,
Antoine
Hello Antoine! I was wondering about you! I don’t know why your message disappeared but I’m glad you’re ok! Thank you for the kind words as always. Teena says hello back
I will be near Crossville for Thanksgiving and the following week. I have my nieces talked into taking a road trip so that we can see Jellico ourselves!
Oh how cool! Enjoy the drive! It's a beauty
Homeless persons tent behind the ruins? And was that a radio flyer wagon on the porch? Oh and BTW as much as i can't stand powerlines as I mentioned in a previous video, my favourite image in this was the ruins with its chaotic(not really) mess of powerlines 😂
You are very observant to notice that tent. Presumably someone is living there and that's why we didn't go any further back there. Yes on the wagon -- and I agree with you 100% about power lines -- they are my nemesis. But sometimes they do contribute something to the composition.
