“Good riddance”, is what many will say to this story. A criminal was cut down before he could become a bigger problem to society. It’s sad that this is the state of parenting in this country. If these parents actually cared about their kids, they wouldn’t raise them to be thugs. If only this kid had better parents.

I just heard the way the D.C. police chief tries to downplay what is happening with their youth there on another video clip by emphasizing that there are still some "good" kids in DC, they are not all like this. The protecting of own is a very real scary thing with groups.

Police Chief talks about being sensitive to the teens parents.. It’s their fault this happened. For a 12 year old to be doing an ARMED carjacking and robbery SPREE the parents need to be held accountable as well as the teen who did the carjacking and robbery. We should be sensitive to the man that had to pull a gun on a 13 year old and shoot him in order to protect himself. That must have been very traumatic for him!

Insurance will cover only the blue book value. You don't get all the payments back and maintenance costs that went into it. Not to mention the cost for rentals while waiting for that down payment for a new vehicle. Or the fact that insurance coverage will go up.
