Such a sad story. I remember trying to get help for my first born son. His dad was murdered when he was 6, so yes, he was angry. People, therapy cost, and most single moms can't afford it. I believe mental health care should be free. Also, every state should have the straight program back in the day. If we ( a village) provide help when they're young, we can prevent situations like this. God stepped in for my son, so he's never been in the system. 🙏.

The bottom 50% of wage earners in this nation pay virtually ZERO income taxes, and suck up over a TRILLION dollars a year of welfare. The top 5% of wage earners (like me) pay over 60% of the income taxes, and PAY for over a TRILLION dollars in welfare. I have paid over $60,000 of taxes in one year.
When you say that you think mental health care should be "free", you're not talking about doctors working for no pay, you're talking about ME paying EVEN MORE than I have already paid, for something that is YOUR responsibility.
On AVERAGE, it costs about $300,000 to raise EACH child to the age of 18. If you and your HUSBAND can't afford to pay for them, then don't have them.
I started working when I was 11, and have worked as much as 100 hours a week to get to where I am. It's not fair for you to take food out of the mouth of my child, to pay for your poor life decisions. My wallet is not your "village".

Children need supervision. This kid was obviously neglected and had no adult supervision. That is 100% on the parent.
A 12 year old child should never have the opportunity to even think about committing such a crime. A complete failure in parenting. Until we start holding the adults accountable children will continue to fall victim of poor parenting like this poor kid.
