- The Russian Defense Minister reported the destruction of American weapons in Ukraine. During a teleconference with Russia's high-ranking military in Moscow, the Russian Defence Minister said that the troops destroyed an American anti-aircraft missile system in Kyiv. He noted the arrival of Western weapons in Ukraine and said it will not change the outcome of Russia's operation in Ukraine.

Just looking at the cost and inefficiencies of each of these weapons shows that even with a 5:1 money advantage or more from the US, Russia is significantly outperforming US made weapons. The Patriot is a dud for the air defenses it's supposed to supply and is very expensive.
Russia's military is integrated with the state and it's needs. The US military industrial complex runs by profit motive and the major contractors don't talk to each other much in terms of interoperability and ease of use. It serves a different purpose. Thus US equipment needs so much more training and costs much more. This is also the first conflict since WW2 that is close to a total war, though I hope we don't get there. Though it's hard to see past propaganda on each side, it seems fairly clear that Russia is winning and Ukraine is running out of ammunition and equipment.
I hope for the sake of Ukraine the US doesn't try to make this a forever war with guerilla fighting. Ukraine is largely destroyed already with 10+ million refugees elsewhere. Peace will come through fair negotiation, not unrelialistic demands like Russia has to leave first.
Then explain why does the west not just produce eastern weapons
The world is moving away from USD and US technology. Soon USD will be no reserve currency anymore. Then no money anymore for wars.

US after fall of Soviets became the hegemon in attacking mid Eastern countries. Russia concentrated on defensive weapons and S 350, S 400 are the results. Side by side Russia also developed Hypersonic missiles and S 500 is the only known defence against Hypersonic missiles. US is way behind in these technologies as they were engaged in wars.

Even though them claiming to destroy a PATRIOT system is bullshit when not taking it at face value. It’s easy to debunk this claim after looking up a diagram of the system and how it fairs whenever it’s targeted by missiles (which works optimally if its components are or near a target).
