    Hello my friends, if you want to make this project you should wait enought to dry epoxy glue. I complated the project in 3 days. After 01:59 you should wait 8-9 minutes and be very careful while taking off the wooden block. After taking off the wooden block check again the angles of the linear shafts. After the every steps at 02:25, 05:43, 08:54 wait 24 hours. Good luck :)

Buena suerte :)"

      I pre drill the larger desired hole through a 1/2" thick small piece of plywood on my drill press. Then either screw or double sided tape this template over the existing undersized hole that does not allow a center point.The template will serve as a guide to allow your larger hole saw or bit to not wander. I fix woodpecker holes this way and then make tapered plugs of similar material and glue them in place.

    Another great tool. Well done! The block of wood for use as a drill guide is an excellent idea! Suggestion. If you add a Vee Block to the bottom of the platform, you can drill straight holes in Pipe or drill a straight hole in the corner of a 2x4 or any other square/rectangle piece of wood as well. You could make the Vee Block removable I might make myself one :-)

    How much does it wobble? My experience with all these setups such as the cheap Wolfcraft is that precision is hampered by the necessary space between the tube and the bearing. Can you tilt the drill at all once it's locked in?

    Great idea drilling slightly over-size holes and then setting the the rods and guide bushings in epoxy, that way the holes don't have to be perfect which is hard without the drill guide that you're making. :-)

    • @michaelthibault7930
      @michaelthibault7930 5 років тому +2

      Now that you can drill normal holes, you can make Mark II with tighter tolerances. I suggest a wider separation between the guides is warranted for such a version, not just because you have more precision, but that will provide a base that will throat larger pieces _and_ be susceptible to the addition of dogs or clamps.
      Tools are a contagion.
