- The 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season was notable for two major Hurricanes Florence and Michael which both caused immense damage and effects in the United States. Another notable storm is Hurricane Leslie which made multiple loops and lasted for nearly a month in total (not fully tropical).

There’s are decent, though I would say I seen other animations that I think are better. I guess it depends on what your kind of style is. I do think the flare effect from landfall are interesting but could use a change to be more a boom effect and they don’t stick for to long. Maybe stronger landfall that depend on deaths and damage show bigger explosions effects to show the true power that it did at landfall.

they meant they were born on a year with the 4th list being used, like 1994, 2000, 2006, 2012, 2018 etc.
Helene is guaranteed to no longer be on the rotating 6 year list now.

2018 ATL is the 3rd year in a row to feature above average activity, after 2016 and 2017. Despite an El Nino, it developed too late to halt activity! Even with the activity not comparable with the previous year, this season's notable with Florence, the most damaging of the season, and Michael, the first C5 landfall since 1992's Andrew! There's also long-lived Leslie, since 2012's Nadine!
The El Niño during 2018-early 2020 was active, but it wasn't active enough to stop activity in the Atlantic. But it was a crazy El Niño that's for sure.

Coincidentally, this year's naming list is also from 2018! Apart from three new names ofc (Sara, replacing Sandy, was not used in 2018)

2018 Pacific Typhoon Season v.2 is good to see aswell if they wanna remake it.
Finally, a remake of the 2018 ATL season! Used to be the most active ATL season during an El Niño with a total of 15 named storms, until 2023 broke that record with 19. Obviously, the two notable storms were Florence (a long-lasting Cape Verde storm that stall neared North Carolina, causing great damage), and Michael (the most recent storm to hit Florida as a C5, also caused tremendous damages). There are some other storms like Beryl, Helene and Leslie. Really can't wait to see this one!

Florence, despite her weakening, was one of the worst hurricanes in North Carolina, rivaling Floyd 1999! As for Michael, it WAS a C4 operationally, but was upgraded to C5 in PSA. As such, Michael is the first C5 landfall since Andrew 1992, and the only C5 landfall at the USA's Gulf Coast in October! Leslie was the longest lived storm since Nadine 2012!

What a season! And what an animation! Great job, Charlie! But yeah this season was wild. Leslie lasted for so long, Michael making a Category 5 landfall, Florence doing billions of dollars in damages, and no storms in June (why). And I really like this new music for the summary list. I don't get why some people don't like it. imo it's better like this. A great animation!
Yeah I personally like the new music. I think people just hate change as the old summary sticked around for so long. It’s not like they haven’t still used it as I seen it still in some other animations.
2024 Beryl should have acted like the 2018 beryl, but it was like "2018 was a bad year why not become a record-breaking hurricane in 2024 😊"

Dear god if you want to make an animation that brings back childhood nostalgia, use in summary. The animation is fantastic, Rapid intensification, everything that used to make you great. Why do you throw out the window a song you have used for SIX YEARS? THAT PEOPLE LIKED?
Force thirteen. Used to have all this respect for you. Lost every ounce of it.
Pretty decent animation. This hurricane seasons was definitely an interesting one. I find Hurricane Micheal to have some of the most insane footage of its power and utter damage it caused and was doing during the event. I would say the flare effect could use a change to be a more of an explosion effect instead of a puff cloud that slowly spread out. Be better for a cool boom effect to show the true power when at landfall which would depend on the damage and deaths and not just its strength to show its true power.

As a Panama City, FL resident, I’ll never not remember Hurricane Michael. I thought it would peak at around 125 mph, but I was wrong. Your average resident didn’t really hear about it until the day before landfall. I remember watching it make landfall on TV in an Italian restaurant in St Augustine. And then there was the recovery, with school being out for weeks and being limited on many supplies. What a storm
Yeah, the footage itself just shows it all. So intense and just overall relentless. I cannot imagine how it must’ve been with just how incredible the damage was after Hurricane Micheal left. Truly the worst damage I ever seen even after storms Ida and Ian.
I got to see some of the aftermath the year following when I visited the university campus there. It's one thing to see the devastation in film or images. It's another the behold it with your own eyes. Not just the human-built damage, but also that to the forests in the region. Truly awe-inspiring to see thousands upon thousands of trees snapped like twigs, for miles.
