I had the chance to record with the same Veleno at Electrical Audio in Chicago. At the moment I had no idea it was the guitar on In Utero. In hindsight I was better off thus. Recording with Albini was plenty enough to fathom.
Chris Veleno is a great guy and fair play to him keeping his father’s legacy. I have a gold veleno I’m looking at getting back playable again. I love the fact Chris has added interchangeable nut piece which is similar to the les Paul juniors had great touch 🎸🙏🎶🎶🎶
This weekend, I ticked this off the list - an original 70s model. Surprisingly normal playing and sounding (I don't mean that in a negative way, but I didn't know what to expect) .. but off the charts on the Cool-o-meter ... the ultra thin wide neck was a revelation. A real bucket list item ticked!
@@jivetolkein Congrats on the new axe. I bet it has a great vibe. That’s a great feeling when you find something you have been looking for such long time. Thanks for sharing and supporting the channel.
That is the same guitar that Frank Hannon from Tesla played. That is the actual guitar. I know because I was there and have it on video. Wow!!!
kurt cobain used one of these on some of the overdubs on in utero. real cool

Oh I bet I have. I’ve owned my Veleno for over 20 years.
Awesome ! Tell me about it. You play it a lot or just keep it in a collection?
