Thanks Alex, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. They are the best you can get in my experience, as long as the size is correct it will be an all round comfortable experience 👍
Nice pack! I have both the Lowe Alpine Saracen and Sting models. Both are in Dutch DPM. I much prefer the solid Olive Drab that your Berghaus is. Looks like a great ruck.
Really nice overview, thank you. I'm don't understand what the black clips are at the front which you call the "eye-sack" system. What is the proper written name?
I can understand why you don't get it. It's "ice axe." The ice axe handle goes downwards through the loop all the way to the axe head, then bring the handle upwards, and the black clips hold the handle in place. This can be done with a wood chopping axe as well, just about. Hope this helps, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video 👍
It’s a good bag , I’ve the 45/65 litreversion for about 4 years now ,comfortable & robust I don’t think I’ll bother with any other except perhaps to get the bigger version- good luck with yours !
The buckles on the side pouches are there in case you need to bug out asap the crusader was designed for the danish SF not really for civilian use, great bag never the less
Thanks for the detailed breakdown fella! Have the 90 Crusader, but looking to downsize. The 60 would be ideal, but it's expensive and somehow heavier than the 90?! Only thing putting me off the 45 is the lack of hip belt padding, would you say it's an issue on longer hikes for comfort, or is it alright?
I would say it's OK, so long as the weight isn't too heavy, like craming it full of overnight gear. To me, it's a day sack for winter with the side pouches, so there's going to be padding with the clothing layers. I've never had a problem, and it's never entered my mind, but it's very much a personal preference. Hope this helps. 👍
That's great, thanks for getting back to me! I've got a habit of overfilling for multi-dayers during winter, or bushcrafting camp outs, but maybe the reduced capacity might force me to be a bit more lean with my kit haha. Thanks again!
I m wondering about the sizing, i m 1,68m tall so i should be using a size 2 But when i measure my back lengh , if i m doing it right i got a 48cm lenght...so should i go for a size 2 or 3 ? Did someone experienced the same problem?( There s nowhere around me to try this)
I've just looked at the sizes of one for sale and size 2 covers 160 -- 173. I'm 175cm, and size 2 fits me fine, even though I'm slightly outside the size 2 range. Look it up before you buy. It's important to get it right. Size 2 sounds right. The measurements are the height of you, not your back length. Hope this helps. 👍
@@Andy-walkaboutnutty thanks you for your advice, I m a little bit confuse because on several website they say : Size 1 = 34cm-40cm (1m53-1m65) Size 2 = 38cm-43cm (1m60-1m73) Size 3 = 43cm-48cm (1m70-1m83) Size 4 = 48cm-54cm (1m83-1m93)
I got the 45\65 cannot wait to use it this summer backpacking here in the States. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks hackneeey, you can't go wrong with them bad boys. 👍
The flat pocket in the lid is for bags of human waste when in a sub surface OP

Cheers for that James 👍
