If I bought all the rucksacks you have reviewed, I'd have had to mortgage the house by now. That said, I do like me some Berghaus gear, and it's been _days_ since I bought something backwoods related...
@punisher288 this is a skip of a bag, massive , it was too big for what I needed, I ended up sticking with the 60 liter version, a better size for me. I find the quality of Berghaus bags to be amazing, doesn't matter which one you get it will be excellent
Hi m8 I’m liking that pack used to av the Vulcan and they are solid packs better all round than Karrimor sf in my opinion, did u find out if it takes the plce pouches or do u still av to put them on upside down?
I think you need to add on the belly pack as well! It will help balance you out when trekking long distances! Bruno in the back pack, and Cooter in the belly pack!😂😂😂
I've the old style military 1 from 81 I think it is and it's so comfortable and distributes the weight well I have the new style some pockets but they don't zip on so they are strapped on I can't find the old original side pockets forsale for some reason reason
Thanks for the "walkaround" of the Crusader - since i'm undecided buying a surplus-one: would you know if there's a way to "compress" the thing if it is not fully loaded? And is there a possibility to mount sleeping- and bivy-bag (and a isomat) outside the rucksack (preferably below the ruck)? (and which size should i take? i find conflicting informations (me being 1.75 in heigt).. ones say "size 2", others "size 3"? how do i find the "right measure" to find out which will work for me?)
@@RedBranchBushcraftHi Wooly - i received my Crusader today (mint condition for surplus, some well repaired spots, i'd say: totally worth its money) but i had to go size 3, though i even feel size 4 could have been fitting, too - the shoulderstraps seem awefully short. I have to say: I like the strap-solution of the centurio IV (which i also have - it's too small for multiday-trips) better... BUT - one question: would you have an idea on how to fasten the "bivvy-combo" (bivvy-sack, isomat, sleepingbag) UNDER the crusader? (the straps for "behind-mounting" are small and i don't think the weight on there would do any good (i'd rather have it on my lower back than pulling me back)
@michaelkeller5008 I ve been thinking about something similar, the side straps are two small on my Spartan , I bought extra straps, hopefully to extend. But I wouldn't attach my sleep system to the outside of my pack, always on the inside, I'd be too worried about the weather
Hello brother come compare it to a big person like me! We all don’t have the size is a skinny man brother! So when you compare sizes from average and a big man, the accurate!
Sorry about the lack of notice... I will be interested in your rucking review.
No worries man, only joking, I really like this bag ......I think I'm rediscovering my love of Berghaus
I've just purchased this and is unbelievable how it's not that heavy on you're back bit pricey but you pay for what you get
These are great quality on the second hand market
I'm so glad you mentioned the sizes! 1:20 I'm also right between a size 2 or 3 and have been worried about how much different it could make
Im the same , just follow the guidelines from Berghaus and you will be fine

Lol, the struggle is real buddy
Your load lifters are a bit tight Wooly, they're pulling your shoulder straps back.
Good call
Would you prefer the lowe alpine 120l saracen or this one? And why? 🙏
@@punisher288 I've never tried the lower alpine
Ow oke thank you for the respond. How do you find this bagg till now?@@RedBranchBushcraft

Hy
What is the length of your back? To choose correct size of this backpack is important to know this information.
Hi, I don't know, I used the height guide on a website, it recommended size 2 or 3 , both fit me
Thancks

Yes buddy, I'm sure it would fit better on bigger people
