Today I'm reviewing 'By A Man's Face Shall you know him' Tai Kato's EXCELLENT Crime Thriller And a really wonderful example of the inventiveness, technical skill and vibrancy of 1960's Japanese Cinema.

THANKS FOR WATCHING! - Розваги
Your shelving Dragon is absolutely phenomenal. Criterion closet organisation.
Thank you mate, it’s just the house that Ikea built 😂
goddamn what a beautiful shelf. glorious
Thanks mate! It’s constantly changing. Forever moving stuff around, selling a bunch to buy the next bunch
I've watched some of your videos before, but this one earns the sub. Your reference to I, the Executioner playing in Cannes, the Tai Kato retrospective in London, and seeing aesthetic and narrative influences in films such as the Battles Without Honor and Humanity series demonstrate that you have some understanding of its historical context. Plus, you provide a brief summary of the included booklet and special features because you actually read and watched them. No disrespect to some other UA-cam channels that are doing their best, but the "I just received this in the mail, never heard of it before, no idea when I will watch it" vibe is not my jam.
Thank you 🙏🏻 I really appreciate the sub and the comment! I made a little mistake with the Cannes reference though, it’s actually the South Korean film of the same name as I, The Executioner that’s playing there ( the sequel to Veteran) only got clarification after I’d posted the video up. I’m also not a fan of those type of ‘reviews’ where the UA-camr hasn’t seen the movie! I occasionally blind buy so sometimes post unboxings of films I’ve not watched yet but always try and follow up with a proper review.
The inspector wears skirts 3 and 4 in the post this week 😊😊😊 88 films 🎥
Not familiar with this title.
Thank you my friend.
Did not like the treatment of the Korean characters in this film. Thumbs down for me.
Interesting, what didn’t you like? That some of them were portrayed as the villains of the film? Or the performances of some of the actors playing the Korean characters?
Just bought this and I, Executioner and pre-ordered tai kato's Tokijiro: Lone Yakuza
@AndyPandy5171 good man! Radiance also have 18 Years in Prison coming too, which also stars Noburo Ando and was again also directed by Tai Kato.
