I grew up with this kind of music. I'm one of the lucky ones.
If there hadn’t been an Ernest Tubb, there wouldn’t have been a Hank Williams.
Country will never be as cool as this stuff.
What😂 this is country
@@chasehall6393 he obviously means country going forward, as in modern country. He knows it country Ffs!
True...
Yeah I actually had a black woman ask me who was singing this song at the gas pump. This kind of pro Jesus music has gotten burried with the beast system taking over
@@ThisHandleIsntAvailableTryANew old country and folk have such an overlap in traditions with the more “black-centric” blues. Good American music is good american music, everybody recognizes it. Country folk and blues are all a man needs
Right when these old country songs turn on I’m immediately transported to a Texas country western bar….this music is hypnotizing
The Lord knows I am drinking
I Wonder in what mood you guys are to listening to this masterpiece... 😉 Greetings from Germany, Prost!!!
Right now a depressed one. Cheers!
@albert speer The Lord knows you drank too much! 😂
Gönnt euch 😂

Amazing...Simple, Honest & True...now that's Country!!!!!!
Miss you. RIP ET
Mr. Tubb is a legend.
❤
I did a lot of sessions with big "E" and a few with leon.i liked Ernest music, simple but good country.
Cal had the hit, but Ernest is hard to beat...saw his @ Cactus Jack's in Memphis late 70's/early 80's. was one of my grandmother's favorites in the 40s and I'm going to see him in concert 40 years later. WOW!!!
Crazy how time flys by.
Best real country music ever I love him and Loretta Lynn together unbeatable music
ET band at this point all-stars of trade ask someone who was lucky enough to see hat's off to you all 🤠
I am one of those who wishes I could have been around when this sound was in its prime and that I could have danced a few rounds to Ernest and the like. There is just nothing like it anymore.
So do I, but there are still a few traditional style artists.
Put it on the juke and grab a mature woman down at the beer joint. You can still whoop it up. I do.
Tracy Flippen yes you so right this shit we get now days the rap bong bong crap so sad its not country.
I'll bet the Lord prefer country over rap crap
Tracy Flippen Right On 🏃🏼
The Real Deal!!!!!!! Saw her n several times loved it. Texas should be proud!
Now, that's music!
best Drinkin' song EVER!
I still love it! ❤️😘🇺🇸
Earnest Tubb was a such a great songwriter,i miss that man

Greatest music ever from the original troubadour.
V people say I'm not old enough to listen to country music like that but I was born in 1968 my mom and dad grew up on it in the 70s and I always love the old songs I want to listen to some people now to this age I have to have a liking and be a follower
Both are real good, but I really like Cal Smith's recording better. This is a cute song.
Love that old country music.
His bands were top rate
Country music played and sung right! Stellar musicians too.
Love that steel guitar.
Outstanding artist. Right up there with Jimmie Skinner, The Carter Family and Hank Williams. Very talented and had a long career. Great song - also recorded (before Tubb) by Cal Smith and also by Carl Perkins.
Love ernest Tubb so much! This music is way ahead of it's time, or its us who are behind! The lessons in his songs are great, wish I could play them in a church ha~
The Troubadours too

Ernest Tubb was a good singer
Perfection
super!
Allways good...
Just live it and don't lose your mind.
The great E.T. was closer to the end than to the beginning, but this is one of many terrific recordings (this one of a song by Whisperin' Bill Anderson and originally recorded by Tubb's protege, Cal Smith) proving that Tubb only got better as he went on.
Yes Sir "kneeling"
Charley Pride said in an interview that how he measures today's country music to traditional country music.
He started with Ernest Tubb and Roy Acuff and ended at George Strait. After that they're what he'd term the hat gang.
❤
👍♥️👍
Lord help me stop
Ernest Tubb's version is better than the original. I couldn't stand the original version.
We all know a Ms. Johnson.
Iam gonna get e.t. 👕 and wear it well 👌
Tijauna Wilsie
Why is this song so hard to find !????
Country needs another ET to save us form Niko Moon and Walker Hays.
