Dear Katerina, I just discovered you on you tube and have been enjoying your tutorials so much. You have such a lovely way about you, and your paintings are beautiful and very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your talents and sweet demeanor with us. You are a true treasure and I have learned so much from you.
You are very kind. Thank you for being here :) I hope you consider joining our amazing community on Patreon. There is so much more in a private virtual community.
Your feather tutorial is the best I've watched. So realistic and lovely. I appreciate that you explain as you paint and suggest other supplies to use that could work. I'm inspired to try this. Thank you for your awesome feather painting lesson. Stay safe.
More magic! I love how you made the center thing (spine?) with the little circle on the bottom. The feathers are gorgeous, I am looking forward to doing these. After I finish my Oak leaves! So many wonderful projects, thank you.
Thank you so much Kateri! I know what I'm painting tomorrow. Got my new paints from Wildthorne today and am really looking forward to making some feathers with them. Love you and your lessons!
This is a wonderful little project to start off my day :) I've been doing tons of graphite feather studies from studying my neighborhood murder of crows, so this is definitely the next step!
Hi Kateri, this is gaby AKA "Mary BlackSheep" from your Craftsy Class on Lumanis Watercolor mixing. This feather is an awesome exercise not as easy for me as I thought but practice, practice. Thanks again for sharing your talents.
I would love to show them to you as I feel I'm not getting it or really a different look I can't seem to achieve. What is the best way to show you my feathers? Thank you for being so kiind.
I love them, too! And what a great idea! I am teaching a large workshop on feathers as a fundraiser for the Roycroft in a few weeks. I will share your practice!
I'm learning a lot from your videos. I really want to paint pink pampas grass (or muhley grass). Would you please consider making a tutorial of how to paint it?
metlrabbit interesting! Well, I paint what I know and I don’t know pink Pampas grass. But... we learn techniques for painting anything at all, on My Patreon :) take a look when you can. www.Patreon.com/kateriewing
Kateri Ewing I understand. One more thing~I’ve tried to order the paint sets that you use because they’re so beautiful, but they are all always sold out. Is it a seasonal issue?
I’m sorry to hear that. I honestly have nothing to do with her business practices. I do know that Stoneworks Mill on Etsy has the new Luminous Palette in stock right now. It’s truly beautiful and useful.
Stephanie Alex seems fairly common for them to be out of stock. Very small business and small batch artisans. . They don’t make my palette anymore. I’m sorry. But I give substitutions in the description box, if that helps. Any watercolours will work beautifully for these projects 😊

I’m so glad!
Love your tutorial 🥰
Excellent teacher !
I love painting feathers and I adore your feathers. So cool how you go in with a pencil afterwards--must try that!
Cristina Mazzoni ❤️ I love painting them too. And people seem to love the painting too. A win :)
Wildethorne are just beautiful.
I’m sorry but I cannot recommend them any longer. They are fun for play but do not perform for all regular watercolour techniques that I teach.
Beautiful - thank you for sharing 🙏
🥰

Pam Hirsch, you’re the best. I’m so excited to see your feathers! And very happy that you have a little jewel box of your own :)
I love my little jewel box of paints!
Pam Hirsch :)
This is a wonderful little project to start off my day :) I've been doing tons of graphite feather studies from studying my neighborhood murder of crows, so this is definitely the next step!

How can I join Patreon for more lessons? Can't find your website. :-)
Marian Smartt you can visit www.patreon.com/kateriewing
Hope to see you there! And if you have questions there, let me know. :)
What does granulate mean?
Ts when larger pigment particles settle into the paper and create texture… basically…. The ones that don’t dissolve.
I just visited Wildthorne’s website. It appears she is sold out of everything. When will she have this pallet ready to sell?
I’m sorry to hear that. I honestly have nothing to do with her business practices. I do know that Stoneworks Mill on Etsy has the new Luminous Palette in stock right now. It’s truly beautiful and useful.
Will that company ever make this watercolor set again? The website is out of everything

Kateri Ewing thanks Kateri, I love your paintings and appreciate you giving substitutions
I wanted to purchase the paints everything I tried to go to on your list said that there was no information.
Any paints will do! If you go to my website, Kateri ewing.com, there is a current list of paints I love.
