I am running Cubase 13 Pro and SpectraLayers 10. I think nothing is using the elicenser or the dongle, but I am not sure and would like to get rid of them. Perhaps an idea for a quick tip video? Thanks as always!

Same here. e-Licenser not needed. Sign in to your Steinberg account and look under e-Licensor.

Help Please. If I try to launch navi harp free from halion sonic 7 , I get a message saying no activation found. It also doesn't appear in the activation manager.
The only time I've seen this sort of thing, I wasn't logged into the same account on the steinberg site as I was in the activation manager. It's worth double-checking that when you click on the link on the steinberg site that you're logged in correctly, as that would stop the license being added to your account. HTH.
Will my older cubase 11 be able to transfer to non-elicenser or am i just screwed forever if my small usb dongle breaks accidentally. This sucks. Why couldn't they use ilok or something that will be supported for a long time. my ilok broke and i managed to get all my licenses back by sending it to them and buying a new one. cant do that with elicenser if the servers go away forever.
Unfortunately not. Cubase 12 is the first version to use Steinberg Licensing, so I think you have two options - either upgrade to a later version, or ensure you have a new dongle before the servers go offline. I've certainly found that the latest versions of the dongle (right-hand side in the image in this video at 6:58 ) are pretty reliable.
I'm not sure what kind of support Steinberg will offer once the servers go away, but I wouldn't count on it getting a licence back from a dead dongle.
I think they wouldn't use iLok as it was a competing technology to elicenser in the past, and they are now fully committed to their new software-based licensing system.
@@musictechtuition aw that sucks, guess i'll have to upgrade at some point. My dongle works fine, i'm just scared of breaking another dongle on accident.
is groove agent dongle-free too then??
Yes - there was a free update for Groove Agent 5 to move to Steinberg licensing. You should see a 'voucher' in your Steinberg account for this, and be able to upgrade and download the latest version.
In my opinion, Steinberg's big foul is that the download assistant does not indicate what is a free product and what is a paid product and how much it actually costs.
If you don't know which Steinberg products are paid, or how much they cost at a point in time, you might want to check their shop. I guess you are aware when you buy products, so for freebes, you get that information on their home page as well. Or is that too much of a challenge?
I'm stuck in an endless loop where steinberg doesn't recognize my email. It says I'm a customer, but when I request a new password it never arrives. When I contact tech support I never get a response. Tried setting up a new account - doesn't work. Would really like the harp but it's not worth the ag. nice video tho
Yeah, support is definitely not good at the moment - I put in a question and about 6 weeks later it was just marked as answered and I was told if I needed it doing I'd have to re-submit... On the email front, what email service are you using?
Anyone else have a click sound on decay of lowest D with this patch?
I'm not hearing a click on decay... There is something in the initial attack, but it just sounds like the instrument to my ears...
