I have just installed the more expensive Chromecast last week, now am installing Anycast on another TV. easy peasy connections for the android phone Except It does NOT Play Videos from Netflix. UA-cam, tiktok ok.

I was able to setup an older phone that did not have screen mirroring or cast function by using the instructions for iOS to connect to my home network. I used All Screen and LocalCast to detect the Anycast.

Yes I tried different ways, on tv's usb , and different external charger adaptors, finally I gave up, purchased cables for connection , I get immediate connection per cable and view my phone on tv. Thanks very much for your time. Regards
For Android device, please do not connect this item through your WiFi Setting on phone. There are only 2 steps, first is press the button on this item to change to Miracast mode, second is go to Miracast function on your phone and select the Anycast xxx to start the mirroring.

Ever try using a LAN USB cable instead with Anycast? This type cable can be used with Chromecast, Fire TV, or other streaming devices to use device directly on LAN without WIFI use. Cable would look like USB power/WIFI cable that came with it, but instead of antenna end, there would be a RJ45 connector.

Mistah Staley it can connect to your phone hotspot, but not on the same phone doing the stream :)

Great easy to understand Tutorial . I have Android , is there a way to keep the Anycast from defaulting to " Air Play " mode every time device powers up ?? Powered from TV USB . . . As I have to press the change format button every time to change to Mira Cast . . . . On video the speaking and pictures are at times out of sync. . . Anything I can do ?? ( a previous device was flawless, but device pooched - was a Screen Beam Mini2 - but Action Tech no longer making this item - or do you know where to get one of these. . . . ??

I'm trying to connect my daughters iPhone and anycast to an old Samsung smart t.v. all the tutorials I've watched have different home screen to the one I am getting up on her t.v. could any one give me some advice please as to what might be going wrong ?

Thanks for the video. What I want to do is mirror my iPad while I'm watching Netfix or UA-cam. Anyone know how I do this as once I'm connected WiFi to the AnyCast module I obviously can't connect to the internet!
You go on your smartphone web search(google, edge, safari) and type the Internet adress (numbers) that appear on the tv, then it will give you the option to set up the wifi and conect to your Home router and presto! I spent 2 hours to learn this and set up the gadget hehehe! 😀

Good tutorial. I found an unopened one of these from 2019 and thought this would be cool for work presentations. It display on the TV ok, in Miracast mode, but my Android Screencast must be different because it doesn't discover the device, and WiFi doesn't see any SSID that looks like Anycast. Junk Chinese tat, that I can't update.

You must have an Android device, right?
As different Android devices have different names about Miracast function.
It may be not called screen mirroring on your device.
Recommend you to download "wifi display helper" app in google play store, this app will help you locate the Miracast function.

One problem - you can’t connect to something Ike Netflix because you’re now offline and only connected to the Anycast - so whatever you want to watch… has to be on your device. So kinda useless unless you have a ton of content already downloaded.

I got the AnyCast connected and I can mirror videos off my iPhone no problem but where I do have a problem is trying to use my Spectrum Cable TV app to mirror movies and TV shows. It not showing up. Using iPhone 8 with software version 15.5.
I had the mira screen identical to that one you don't need home internet with the mirascreen

Without a network, this dongle only supports mirroring. If you have a network, this dongle supports both mirroring and casting.
I would suggest used ptv3000 can find them on eBay and don't need network and just cast to it. Plus less glitchy.

Every time I power on TV and choose AnyCast, always is AirPlay on! And every time I have to unplug AnyCast(becouse little button is towards TV back) and switch to Miracast. Question is, can I set up dongle to be always in Miracast mode to be by default when I turn on Tv ? Thanks

My question is: Do I need a wi-fi connection? Or can I use my unlimited data? I have a Android. If so,do I put it in air mold? I'm still very confused in the reasoning of Air mold? Would this stop all other activities I may use, like phone call's ect. I never us the Air - Mold. I have unlimited data. Please someone explan this to me. Where I'm located there is no Wi-Fi. Can the casting on TV be done if you are not on wifi, I don't mean the Anycast but the home or other wifi?
Yes, the casting can be done on TV even if you are not on wifi, you can surf the internet via your phone data.

I use to use any cast. And it was very reliable.. but I just bought a new one and it's not working at all.. when I mirror cast it connects then it just disappears and nothing happens

On my iPhone 8 Plus, using the app, EZMira, or logging in to 192.168.203.1, When I select “Internet” it says “Scan WiFi hotspot waiting...” for 35 seconds. Then says “Bad Connection“. I’ve done this about 40 times. Always the same results.

The only thing i have found that works without internet is the screenbeam mini 2, that is almost impossible to buy. The last one went for $70 on ebay.
