Always great to see more female photographers making content! :) .. Lovely photos btw. Wasn't a fan of Metropolis, but now seeing it being used for night time photography, has got me thinking! :P
it's a surprising film, have you tried their new formula version? I think I like it better than the old but sometimes do miss that low contrast of the old one. both still unique and fun though!
I've never shot Metropolis at night and I like your images. I was surprised to see what looked like halation in some of the shtos. I'll definitely have to give this a try,
I liked the results of the metropolis film of a night time. Metropolis is under saturated at the best of times and it gave the night scenes a really cool look!!! I'd be using it more often, Molly. It also pairs well with the little RC. The Lomo pushed to 800 was good, too. Just added that bit more pop and colour to the scenes. 800T, well, what more can I say about a great night film. Excellent shots :) I like the halation effect around the lights that the film gives, especially when it's not over done. If you don't mind grain, try some Ilford Delta 3200. Best for the "grimier" parts of town though. Gives that "rough", used look to your pics. Portra 800 is also good for night shots. Oh, and try some Fuji Acros 100. Might sound too slow, but it has the best reciprocity failure resistance of pretty much any film around. You can shoot for up to 2 minutes without worrying about it. Mind you, you'd never hand hold a shot for that long!!! For those and longer exposures, you'll need a light tripod.
thank you very much! I've shot a roll of 3200 but only one image came out, although it was 120. I need to try it on 35mm. Acros actually sounds fabulous for night photography, but yeah would have to make an exception for that and drag out the tripod!
Nice video, the Olympus RC is such a cool little camera! I'd like to try Cinestill 800T sometime, but it's really expensive. I'm making mental notes of good spots with neon and other lights where it might be worth using at the moment 😊
Its such a gem! And yes totally hear you on that, most of those 800 films are, I only bought 4 rolls and thats it for this winter haha someone I know had good luck pushing ultramax so I want to try that next. But worth shooting cinestill if youve got a good area like you said, where are you based?
Very cool. The Lady Gray was by far my favorite. I don't really shoot film at night if I can avoid it after an ill conceived idea I had to shoot a friend's concert in a dark club with Illford 3200. The result's were less than stellar. Also, protip, shooting a concert in Medium format is a bad idea.
hahaha but hey points for doing that though cuz that sounds tough! Ive only shot one roll of 3200 and only one frame came out lol nice to hear which one was your favorite, Lady Grey is great. Would you ever try again if the ptsd wears off?
@@Eclectachrome Well I shot the same artist with digital a few years ago and was really happy with the results. Maybe as a backup, but not as a primary.
Incredible images. Helps that you clearly have a great eye for composition.
thanks Chris!!
Great to see these shots and our old stomping grounds! 📸🔥
Thanks!!

Nice set of photos! It's always fun being out at night shooting hey!
thanks! I agree! Gotta still be able to get out even in winter :)
Nice shots! Lomo 800 for low light photography is way too good for it's price 😍
Thanks!! And yeah definitely 😊

lovee the shots at :55 1:09 , those tones at night came out stunning & moody!
Thank you!
This is a great street camera! It’s the smallest camera I’ve used to have a full manual mode.

Thank you!! There's so many out there 😊 yeah definitely worth a shot at night and then if you dont like it still you can sign it off lol
I really like Metropolis almost every time I shoot it, despite thinking I won't before I do shoot it.

@@Eclectachrome Copenhagen 😊 It's not Las Vegas in terms of neon signs, but there are some cool places around.
@@Christian_from_Copenhagen cool! well good luck with it :) Vegas would be a bit overwhelming for me with night film haha I wouldn't sleep!
