I love the speech balloons for your dog and all your other graphics, also like how you put up an image of the film canister next to a shot to show the film used for the image. Nice graphics that add to the normal run of the mill videos on You Tube!
Thanks Agnus. I think i woffelled on a bit but Jerry helped me out 😄 im really getting into this film photography. A fun change to the digital world we all live in these days. Thanks for encouraging feedback 👍🐕
Romance and nostalgia comes to mind when I see old photos shot in film ..flaws are also necessary and the pics that look too real can detract ..they don't evoke a sense of time and place. Great shots 👌
Nice one Roberto, the pictures looked fine despite the ISO problem. Just be thankful that you didn't use slide film, that really is unforgiving. A high ISO black and white film would be an interesting experiment for you - and us of course! Top marks for developing your pictures too, I just take mine down to the local camera shop. Poor old Jerry looked all in sitting in the car on the way home.
Thanks. I can see from the auto ones compared to manual ones the sky much lighter.. yeah ill muck around with developing next.. i hope i dont end up in hospital.. jerry loves the motion of the car.. puts her to sleep.. 2 walks in one day might be getting too much these days.. shes eating better now so hope to increase her weight
Mate, I have made so many bloody mistakes when shooting film and I am sure there are many more to follow. So, very happy to see you make them as well. Some really beautiful photos by the way! Maybe you didn't know but Olympus cameras are awesome. Hehehe 😁
Another great video Roberto. To go back to the "analogue" feeling of paper photos, im looking at the "instax LINK Wide Smartphone Printer" - have you done similar printing ?
Bad luck about the Auto mode failure. You have almost convinced me to dig out my Bessa rangefinder and do a roll. But I'll leave the wet chemistry to someone else, thanks. 'Character' is a word bandied about a lot WRT traditional lens and films. (Jerry is a most co-operative model, isn't she? I hope her agent looks after her well!) Keep up the exploration of film photography Roberto. Thanks for the videos.
Yes lots of charachter. Jerry is a good model.. very patient when im trying to figure out exposure haha 😄 trying out new cameras is the best part... that bessa is one good looking camera.. very tempting
Very enjoyable video as always Roberto. I do agree with you, there is something special about film, but it’s too much work, having said that, I still shoot black and white street photos (and portraits) with my trusty and reliable Olympus OM-1 from the 70’s, for landscapes I do prefer digital, in my case, the Fujifilm X-T4. Be well and stay safe, it’s not over yet.
Thanks. Im taking my om1 and canon 500 out next. I know they wont fail me.. yes fuji still the film lovers choice to bridge the divide.. im thinking the x100 or xt series.. they are very sexy cameras 📷
Damn.. why didnt i think that.. yes.. not sure voluptuous is sounding as good as i thought.. in hindsight what the calamari was i thinking.. haha.. organic spot on hipster word.. i think i have more fun collecting them.. good execuse to buy another one 😄
Haha.. later film cameras had that barcode to auto set it.. iso has always been my downfall.. i always use auto-iso and wonder why my shots are always noisy.. keep forgetting to check.
Why do people want misty looking, washed-out photos? Misty filters why? Maybe one in a thousand might look good? As for films, the Kodak Ektar 25 looked as sharp as digital, if you want super-fine color images.
😆 haha.. maybe its to soften the wrinkles in our faces. Reminds me of cybel Sheppard in the 80s.. she demanded to be only filmed with a soft focus lens.. i got my monobath kit.. ill look at getting a roll of ektar 25
First off. Gerry is a super model. Secondly, I think you described the problems people have with digital very well. I might add, clinical and cold. The obsession with sharpness and the fact too many tech guys came into photography. Where are all the artists at ? These days it’s all about the technical qualities of a photo, instead of focusing on the story, the emotional impact etc. Anyway, these are just the ramblings of an old fool. Don’t take notice, lol.
Love it. You need to come for a walk with me. We would be two old farts rambling with our cameras.. haha.. yes true focusing on the technical too much can lead one away from the real deal.. the subject and the story.. jerry loves film.. for some strange reason all the best shots i have done of her have been on film.. 😄

Yes. I should have consulted you on the script haha... no idea where i got voluptuous from lol 😆

I think Jerry wants a video demonstrating the Sunny 16 rule!
Lol. She might want to watch the pros at it... my efforts are more dark skys and terrential rain 16 rule.. 😆

Talk about it. Cleaning my om1 today and a wire popped off the battery. I Completly stuffed it. Can only shoot manual now... arhhh.. must leave shit 😔
Jerry is thinking you really do need to talk and video more about the star ⭐️ and guess what that’s me 😂😂 but great video again keep it up Rob.
I know. She is demanding more air time and rewriting her contract.. wants a pay rise too.. more scooby snacks 😆
Love your style. Look forward to part 3,4,5....
Thanks.. haha.. ill need to get on ebay again and build up the collection for that

No. Never printed. Just the one the labs do. Got a good print of jerry on my om1. Printing does bring a whole new dimension to it.. very tangible.. 😆

Hi Rob. How about ethereal, atmospheric, organic or evocative?
Great looking art from the hipster.
Pity the vintage machine broke 😭

Yes, that magical feeling when you realized you are shooting ASA100, but forgot to change the camera from ASA400 on last use. 🥴
Haha.. later film cameras had that barcode to auto set it.. iso has always been my downfall.. i always use auto-iso and wonder why my shots are always noisy.. keep forgetting to check.
@@robdido Using the auto-noisy setting again, are we???
