- Okay, context: I'd been on a quest to make a dye farm, and while I could get most of the colors I needed pretty consistently, I had a little bit of a bottle neck in the supply of black ink.
Fortunately, I found a very simple ink farm that only requires a very small structure to be built above an ocean monument.
I have a few ocean monuments not too far off the nether fortress portal line, so that made for a convenient location. There was just one problem... I needed to transport some allays out there.
Transporting multiple entities across large distance? That was what my rail network was made to do!
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I present to you the very first convoy ever launched in my single player world!

I am well aware this video probably isn't anything too special. It's just a 5 minute video of a minecart traveling, after all.
But given that this is the first time my rail network has been used to transport more than one minecart at a time, to me, this is a monumentos occasion that I am immensely proud of.
Simple or not, it's special to me and I want to immortalize it on the internet forever :)
Nice! looks like its all working pretty well, so all is good. I hardly ever do any of these things in minecraft, so it's fun to see a video that isn't "Deforesting every tree within 2000 chunks of spawn" or "destroying the end!?!?!?! (3AM, scary)" because youtube is so saturated.

If you feel like livening up the track like you did spawn town, maybe it's nice to consider building the bridge across the river in the forest into something cool-looking! Maybe some suspension bridge vibes, or some wooden fence support structure below? Keep it up either way!

When I was discovering minecraft, I think 1.16 through 1.18 (I'm a late developer, lol) I remember being crushed to discover the limitations of minecarts. But then, wanting minecraft elements to make sense seems a bit against the spirit of the game anyhow. (I was watching this and thinking how cool iot would be if you could link carts together to make trains, etc)
Fantastic dude! Now imagine a convoy of 10 minecarts, would look insanely cool, that's for sure.
You should find a design for receiving rails in the same way as they are sent off
Got one, just didn't build it here. This was a temporary stop, and the convoy was short, so I didn't think it was worth building a whole station just for this.
Although, now that I say that, perhaps it might be worth designing a cheaper temporary station for such situations...

Hey I think you should look into using red stone flip flops to use chest minecarts (and the new cop flop when it is done). I haven’t tried it myself yet cuz my laptop is getting fixed. It would be cool in terms of mining. Imagine you’re strip mining and you need to empty out. You can send the mine cart to the storage room through a bunch of junctions which are activated by detector rails on flip flops. When it unloads, all that info will make the mine cart go back where it came from.

its just a texture pack that makes the curved ones look like 45 degrees. looks really cool tbh

They are just normal rails put in diagonal

@@cassidycrawford6968I think that it can be done with a texture pack. "Diagonal" rails are just rails turning left then right then left then right then left... When you ride other them you go in a diagonal tho. I definitely see a texture pack making rails look diagonal for concistency
