First, and probably most important, a quick disclaimer each time if you got the balls sent to you for free by the company itself or another way. I have yet to sense that you’re really shilling for any manufacturer (which is great and why I watch tons of your content :), but this is important for your credibility. Some other requests for features, understanding you only have so much time and resources: *Mentioning, FWIW, some compression data you find on the ball from the manufacturer or elsewhere *Hitting some higher trajectory lobs/pitches onto your practice green to show bounce and rollout *Playing each ball on a least a few holes on a real course and sharing how it behaves on real grass *Bunker shots to gauge durability, as Rick Shiels does? Doesn’t look like you have sand in your practice area, but would be awesome to see in future *Some footage of you hitting the balls, even into a net, just to let us hear how the ball sounds, and ideally letting us see a little real-time ball flight on your launch monitor *If showing new version of ball you have previously reviewed, showing any data you have side-by-side, even if you were using a different launch monitor *Finally (maybe easiest) could be saying what other company offerings the ball personally feels most like to you, and you might suggest trying if looking for similar alternatives Okay, take all these suggestions with a grain of salt, but would love to see you grow your viewership. Not enough good ball reviews on YT imho. Keep the great content coming! :)
So glad this ball did well. Now that there are fewer mid-compression choices (after the new versions of the Q-Star Tour and the Chrome Soft have been screwed up by the manufacturers), I'm glad this ball is in the mix!
Yeah great point. The competition for balls like this has thinned out this year due to changes in other golf balls. I wish the putter performance was a little better. But still a good overall performance
@GolfBallAddict Yes... I am curious as to your thoughts and especially the numbers you get. It's not a soft ball, but it performs so well. keep an eye on the flight path, pretty straight, not like the Triad, but much more forgiving.

They used to sell this one in yellow also, but now it’s only available in white. Cut is missing out on sales by not offering all their golf ball models in yellow, in addition to plain old white. Come on Cut, sell yellow golf balls on the Red model and the Grey model, just like you do on the DC model.
The Red, Grey and DC are all good balls (as long as the cracking of the Reds gets rectified or corrected), and the prices are great, so I hope their management doesn’t screw things up. Eliminate the Blue completely. The Blue is just terrible and they should stop selling it.
I actually like the “tennis ball” green/lime color best also, but I like yellow too. I’d like it if they offered them all in white, yellow and green/lime colors. I like the green/lime better than yellow because I mainly golf on two very nice muni courses in my town, but the courses do sometimes have a few dandelions and clover patches in the rough, so the green/lime works better than yellow or white at certain times of the seasons.
It's been about 4 years. However keep in mind there are many things that have changed since that last review. Including the following.. My swing speed has increased about 8 mph since then. We have a different launch monitor. I'm using a different set of irons and driver. Those three factors will have a big influence.
Thanks! This is a really good option for people to venture into 3 piece balls with urethane cover. I prefer yellow and the atomic yellow Cut Grey is really bright and nice. Hard to find sometimes. Are your irons cast or forged? I have forged Mizuno and like a little firmer ball. A soft feeling ball is like a marshmallow off forged irons for me. I like compression about 90
I have actually been really loving the lime green balls lately. I got some lime green vices a while back and they are so easy to see. I agree with you on the yellow, also really easy to see and makes a huge difference. My irons are just cast. Not forged unfortunately
I’m curious on Cut. Been playing the vice pro plus and it’s good but your right about the price even $40 a dozen is a little much for me. I’m a 4 handicap but with 95mph driver swing speed so I’ll have to see whether I want to tryout the grey or the blue
The Cut DC is really very similar to the Vice Pro Plus, and the DC’s durability was perhaps the best of any urethane ball I’ve ever played. The balls were still like new after two or three or even four rounds or more. I was shocked. The DC did seem to sometimes look like it dropped from its peak height a little more quickly than I normally expect to see. I found the DC distance to be average, anyway.
That will be the previous generation. Which again I don't know how much that will affect the performance, but it's not the same one that I just reviewed.
That sounds like a legato problem. I won't apologize for giving a good golf ball a good review. Although to be fair, they still run them at 24.99 during Amazon sales and Holiday sales. I've seen it go to that price a couple times in the last few months

You convinced me to try out the Cut Red. I try to stay away from the 2 piece balls for fear of losing performance but if you give them the thumbs up, I’m willing to give them a try.
Yeah honestly the"losing performance" thing is just a myth. Golf Ball companies want to sell you their expensive balls, not their cheap ones. You would be surprised how many golf companies have actually gotten upset that I only recommend their two piece ball. They reach out and ask if I can give their top of the line a little more love, 😂
Unless you truly play at a course with very small, and heavily bunkered green complexes, or you are honestly a low single digit or even better player, who regularly, intentionally, and SUCCESSFULLY shapes shots left to right and right to left, around doglegs and into greens, you are almost certainly better off playing a lower spinning and straighter flying 2 piece Surlyn or ionomer covered golf ball. There are a lot of single digit handicappers out there shooting a lot of rounds in the 70’s with 2 piece golf balls.
@@scottdean27 yea, I am no where near a pro. Where I play has very tight fairways and very small greens. Doesn’t take much to roll into the rough or off the greens so I get worried that a 2 piece wouldn’t give me the spin I need. But after watch a few (all of them) reviews from here, I’ve been interested in trying them out.

Your course might be an exception where if the greens are very small, and/or frequently firm or like concrete, then you may really need the extra spin of a urethane covered golf ball to get the ball to stay on the green and not always end up in the back fringe or over the green. Unless the openings at the front of the greens are relatively flat and that would allow you to land it just short of the green and let it bounce onto the green… maybe….
I appreciate you letting me know on this. I had no idea. That's going to affect its score really harshly. I mean the main issue is it doesn't make any sense. You already have three or four two-piece models, why take away your three-piece?
Cut blue is a higher compression at 92 BUT you get a 4pc urethane cover that has high launnch, low side spin so it flies pretty daamn straight, flies far, checks up well, for $20
Will you do review on the cut matte balls, cut website doesn't have them anymore but I've purchased them at Rockbottom golf for buck a ball. I like them, wonder what you think. Love your reviews
For what it's worth, a rep messaged me back about the Cut Grey regarding any changes or updates to the ball over the years. They said the ball has been the same since they've started making it.
I tried the DC and Blue first, then the Red, and finally the Grey a few months later. Grey was, by far, my favorite. DC was my least favorite. According to Cut's specs, the Grey most closely matches my game. I wouldn't turn any of them away though.
I would say Vice Tour for sure.. the Vice Tour had 8k rpm spin on the 50yd pitch. This only has 6800. And I think the Vice is stickier on the green. And driver spin is still low with both so you don’t have to worry about slicing off the planet. But there’s no ball shaming here! Play Cut if you like them better 🙂
Not Cut related but I found a box of Vice pro plus 10 year anniversary in my closet. Are they worth holding on to or use them? I don’t collect them but can’t find them on their website anymore.
I would hold on to one of them or maybe a couple. Other than that you can use them though. If they are an older model I don't know how they're performed though
Things I do not get .... Cut Red: Has "Cut* insignia and red numbering. Got it. Makes total sense. Cut grey: Has "Cut* insignia and ..... red numbering. Ummmmmm...... 🤔
Well actually it gets weirder than that. Cut red has a mono chromatic look. Black lettering and black number. The blue, grey, and DC all have the same look. Red number. The red is the only one without a red number 😭 lol
I noticed also that the Reds had a black number and the rest of the line up all had red numbers. It was significant to me as I am a little bit older and I usually use reading glasses or “cheater glasses” to read the fine print on things. The side stamp on the Cut line up is hard for me to read when I am just wearing my contact lens, so I noticed the colored and black numbers on the different models right away.

Cut greys are great ball imo. For the soft muni couse greens i play they have more than enough check up

It's not bad but their are definitely others that are great. Vice air, oncore elixir, and Snell I think are slightly more forgiving

Yeah I wish the price increase hadn't happened. I know inflation and stuff but $35 per dozen really was The Sweet spot for vice.
