I managed to get my hands on an SX-700 recently. This machine is amazing! I could play the Doctor Who theme quite easily including the bending, and all the effects used. I found a 'sci-fi march' drum set, which I could use to play Star Trek, Star Wars, Avangers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Batman, Superman, A-Team, and lots of other movie themes, with that single style. There are also presets for other specific songs, like Gangnam Style, Call me maybe, Ghost busters, Jump (by Van Halen), Seven nation army, aaaand lots and lots of other stuff. Yamaha did a very good job with this keyboard.
@@ePianoscouk I have a question about using the Yamaha Genos speakers (YAMAHA GNS-MS01 SPEAKER SYSTEM FOR GENOS) on the SX700. Would the sound quality be improved? I don't mean would the sound be louder. I play my keyboard in my home and am not a fan of loud music. Thanks for your opinion. Best wishes.
Around 25 years ago I heard music on a Bose CD player with their "surround sound" feature and it was incredible. Do you know of any speakers, appropriate for low volume in a home, which would provide this type of experience on the SX700? Thanks. Jerry from the USA.
Hey this is AMAZING your doing BRILLIANT Chris. I’ll be up for a visit soon AND AND I’d LOVE be shown how to add separate vocals to chord sequences. I bet Yamaha will soon add to the firmware update the correction of synchronisation with vocals and the keyboard chords.
It is great to hear that Yamaha has oriented these styles to emulate certain songs. Do you know if Yamaha (or anyone) has those relationships as a resource anywhere? It would be a a very useful marketing tool.
Hi Chris, Recently found your UA-cam content which is superb and is very much tempting me towards a SX900. Did you ever get round to doing the “Back To The 80s part II” video ? Keep up the great content. 👌
Thank you, Dave. I have done a part 2 yet. In this video, I go into the 80s section on Yamaha SX900 a little more: ua-cam.com/video/OdH9GNSLO_M/v-deo.html - hope you enjoy!
Thanks Chris, enjoyed the linked SX900 video, certainly shows the “Magic Dust”, so impressed with your videos and marketing of the SX7/900s. Cheers, Dave.
Amazing. Please, I would like to know if I can find these styles in SX900, I'm thinking of ordering it and wonder if these specific songs that you showed are included in the system or not. Waiting for your feedback, peace and love.
Great keyboard. Until Yamaha invests technology to sync the beat of audio to the internal accompaniment there will be sync issues with long audio passages.
Richard Gadsby good point. Maybe the idea might be to include the synchronising in the next firmware update also to include in the STUNNING Genos and of course the PSR-X-900 which is STUNNING.
It was footage from a previous walk-around video. In hindsight it wasn't the best choice as it's slightly distracting I think. I'm glad the video helped you though. We have loads more Yamaha SX videos here: www.epianos.co.uk/video/sx-series/
Great demo.... just got a sx700 and find it all a bit overwhelming, so really inspirational to watch... great job 👍 Can’t find the 80s analogue ballad on mine.... is that some kind of plug in? Ta :)
Sir how much does it cost in US$? CAN I have the idea thoug this model is now almost near to be obsleat new models are near to come thus apparently it should be now compitble prize would appreciate to have price idea
I found a 'dry vocal' of Freddie singing online and imported it as a .wav file to the SX900. Sync-ing it was an issue as you saw, but I could have overcome it by quantising the recording on my computer first. I want to re-do this video with some really good quality vocals as it has the potential to be brilliant! - Take care now. Chris.
They sound amazing and i reconized them too. Since i;m an 80s music listener.😇
I have this all in my psr s770

Nice machine, looking at the specs the keybed should also be better than the previous PSR series ...

Yep, Yamaha PSR SX700 'Mini Genos' www.epianos.co.uk/shop/yamaha-psr-sx700-arranger-keyboard/
👍🎹🎹👌👌🎶🎶
Spandi ballet lol....
I never ever use a style that is a copy from music hit. I can play MIDI file for that.
Just a waste of memory space for me.
