I bought one today and I can't wait to receive it to explore it. It looks like an amazing machine that'll last me a lifetime.
Do you still love it?
Im not sure if I'm here to just listen to him play or learn about the keyboard :) .. Amazing !!
Tony's musical ability is absolutely amazing to me! I have often wondered if he plays the selections from memory or, if he has the ability to play 'by ear'. He has probably been playing music for many years.
Ayin
I always love your professional demonstrations. I wish you could do a video playing all those songs to completion, ie all playing after the comments. Lovely stuff.
I am in the USA and I love watching your video offerings abut the different keyboards. I am a Korg user, the most recent instrument I have purchased being a Korg PA700. I LOVE it but am intrigued with the PSR SX series. Your videos are informative and provide many different style examples of how these keyboards sound.
I thank you for your time and attention to each keyboard that you review :)

Hi Tony , I just bought one in My country dealer, the sound are amazing.
FANTASTIC CLASSIC MUSICIAN. HATS OFF TO YOU SIR.
I think the review would be so helpful to list the Styles and Voices used during each demo, right on the screen as a small overlay, maybe bottom left. Thanks.
Tony, you are the very best at explaining this sx900. thank you for the demonstration
The keyboard is OK but you are phenomenal artist
Love your playing and song selections, Tony! Bravo!
Lovely presentation ! Very nicely explained. Thank You.
I never knew Mark King (Level 42) played keyboards / synths :)
You are a véry good demonstrator!!!

Hi Tony
I have been watching your reviews ...you are excellent..keep the good work going. What will be the price
I'd to hear about the differences btw s975 and sx900 keybed quality and construction and feeling
Great review, what a stunning sound.
The 21st century Mellotron. Bravo.
Hello . Beautiful sound, have been watching this for awhile now. I would like a Pricelist please. I have been watching and listening to all of these for the longest time. PSR SX900 would be right for me. thank You .
Magnificent, it would be nice to know exactly what speakers you are using they sound great.
do it more again, this is good perfomance, and you are the best
Fantastic!
Verry cool demonstration! Thank you!
Good mix of information and playing- makes my 770 sound like I need to upgrade. 👍😁🇦🇺🦘
Hey u still got a 770 ? Yessaaah. 🤣 Me too. I finally laid my hands on a korg(in a music store) n now im conflicted. 😶
@@GJAkuo Hi, recently upgraded to a PSR SX900, what a difference.
From over the pond in the USA, thank you for the overview. I watch Bonners videos quite frequently. My PSR-SX900 is due to arrive at my door late next week. It will replace my trusty PSR-s710 that I have been using 4X a week for contemporary Christian worship. Keep up the great demos and reviews. I have a couple of questions. 1) Do you know if the mic input is TRS balanced? 2) Can the Organ sounds be routed out "dry" (no Leslie sim) with the new output channels to go into my Leslie or Neo Ventilator?
When you get your keyboard can you show some sounds of the Pipe Organ, Theaterorgan, Home organ, Wersi organ and Hammond Organ
@@Royalorgansk
sounds great on my 2 dollar RCA earbuds!
Great sounds, does it have automatic harmony on the right hand side when playing a single note too? I love your playing. What is the price of this ,I would appreciate it. I would like the Genos 1 preferably second hand.
THIS IS GREAT VERSION
Please make korg pa 700 vs yamaha psr x 900
Does this keyboard have touch sensitivity keys? By this I mean if you press down harder on the keys, the sound is louder and when you press lightly on the keys, the sound emitted is lighter? This is a trait on my current PSR 770 which I will be updating this week in London. If it doesn't have this, how do I get around this as this is important to me? I am getting this or the SX700 as they have the African Music Expansion pack which I cant get on any other Yamaha keyboard to my knowledge. Thanks.
Those are basic features that you should find in this and it's precursors
Nice demo! I bought mine in the US this past December!
I like very much this demo. The sound looks very nice, but I'm in doubt about what's its provenience. The captured sound that I listened seems not really taken from the speakers itself. If so, is an amazing sound that I heard on my PC.
Hi just bought the PSR-SX900 and was looking for the poly synth voice to play JUMP as its very close you demoed it in your video. I wanted to order from you but a replied email you said that you don't ship outside of ok and I live in Canada. I taught myself bass clef just to play JUMP and your voice you showcased for it was a poly synth voice but I got my keyboard today and couldn't find it in the menu. Would you please share how this sound was made
How much cost in australian dollars thanks. How compared with yam ck 61 tho ck has no rythems
Your store still active?
超棒!Nice video!
21:41 is sway by Michael búbble
"Sway" or the Latin version, "¿Quien Será?"
@@jerryspencer7916 idk abt that but it sounds like sway
@@prestonfernandes1671 Many people recognize the song, "Sway", but this melody first appeared in 1953 with the Spanish song, "¿Quien Será? Both the English song and the Spanish song have exactly the same melody.
From Wikipedia - "¿Quién será?" is a bolero-mambo written by Mexican composer Pablo Beltrán Ruiz.[1][2] Beltrán recorded the song for the first time with his orchestra in 1953. Pedro Infante, for whom the song was written, recorded it in 1954.
Norman Gimbel took the song, removed the somewhat melancholy Spanish lyrics about a man wondering if he shall ever love again, and wrote brand-new English lyrics about a man praising his dancing partner's ability to affect his heart with how she "sways" when they dance. This new song, titled "Sway", has become a standard in both the pop and jazz repertoire. The first version to achieve considerable success in the United States was recorded by singer Dean Martin with the Dick Stabile orchestra in 1954.
Can you not demonstrate the keyboard without any added speaker system so we know what it
sounds like when we play it straight at home please.
Does it have organ sounds?
Hey Tony thanx for the demo. I just upgraded from tyro3 to the sx900. Is there a way to copy my labored over sounds from the tyros over to the sx900?…if so how?
What a pity that no Yamha arranger module exists.
We have houses full of keyboards, we need portable modules!!
The Yamaha PSR-SX keyboards were designed with portability in mind.
good job, well done...
how do you connect it to a computer to use it as midi controler?
PLAYING MP3/WAV Files FROM USB in SX 900
Hi friends, My SX 900 is not showing the MP3/ WAV files in a USB stick. I want to play the MP3/ WAV Files for Karaoke singing. But when the plug it behind and click on the 'user' button under style, it doesn't show the files inside. It does show the folder which contains the files, though. Am I doing something wrong? I request your help, please.
What stand are you using please?
I heard theres a new keybed for this model, is it identical or totally different to the one from last version model, the psr 950?
It's the new one from the Genos without aftertouch.
How much does it cost please
Hi,can I order a PSR S975
Nice toy
Wow🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Most of the voices are no better than my old psr 8000 and thats about 20 years old. The SX sounds very disappointingly like a much cheaper and older keyboard.
The 8000 had only about what, 12 MB ROM? This has at least a full gigabyte worth of compressed ( probably 2-4 GB compressed into 1GB) sounds. I've used a PSR 3000 and S-910 and this SX-900 blows both out of the water. Better DA conversion, newer styles and features. Try one first. UA-cam vids don't always tell you the whole truth.
which is better, korg pa4x or psr sx900?
Without doubt, the PA4X. But, it's also twice the price of the SX900 if you get the 76 key version, and just a little less if you get the 61 key version. The Genos is the competition for the PA4X, whereas the PA1000 is the competition for the SX900. Both are within $200USD of each other, the PA1000 is $1995USD, and the SX900 is $2100 USD, whereas the PA4X-76 is $4,100 USD vs $5,395 USD for the Genos.
@@GaryMCurran thanks!
Do you happen to know of a good 88 waited keyboard, accessible to blind people? I am a totally blind song writer, and I stopped playing for a long time and want to get back into it. But I was always discouraged to get a piano with a sequencer, because I have never been able to use those setting within, being blind. So would love to find a piano, most accessible to blind people.
Yes. The Casio CDP-120 has 88 fully weighted keys. I use it in my studio as a controller. But, I think it would make a good stand alone piano for the songwriter. Very simple layout. It only has 7 buttons and a volume knob. I think it was $299 US.
Oh, is it light weight? I am wondering if I could hook it to a computer and use it with logic or protools. Just getting into the mixing of things. Most menus don’t talk, but I’m hoping, with a computer, that I’d be able to make it accessible. Sounds like a good price. How are the sounds? Can you put up a video playing it?
Casio privia px 560 m digital piano.
Para mi se oye igual que los psr s
I love your review of this fantastic keyboard, Tony. You are such an accomplished player I really love hearing you play. Thank you for the fine demo! You have a true fan here.
100 000 Peso or more?
I love, i love YAMAHA PSR-SX900 including my DAWs together!!!
Tony is a génius in talking and short and fast giving while playing, a very good impression of any keyboard. Chapeau!!!
I'm surprised that Yamaha doesn't offer a larger arranger keyboard other than the Genos. It would be nice to have the larger keys with a weighted option for studio minus the price tag....
Nice selling job Tony, just popping a kidney on E-bay. as I'm confused between need & want. Still enjoying my S970 bought from your Eastbourne shop. :-)
HI, Tony. I was wandering can you post a video of the SX-900 showing the organ sounds, such as Pipe organ, Theater organ, Hammond Organ, Home organ.
Royalorgans Also Organ Patches, Organ Flutes. Some of the comments in SX 900 said that not only from Genos but also from Tyros5, Organ Patches are added to SX900.Please play some demo more on Organ Patches.Im planning to buy either MODX or SX 900, but have no idea about which of the two have better Organ voices.Thank you.
@@edisonmirandilla7017 Hi Edison, I'm from India. I'm also confused in between these two. Usually, I play every type of genre and right now I'm having Roland XPS-10. And now I'm planning to add new one. So, can you help me that which will be best to buy among these two.
Thanks 😊
I am disappointed in Bonner's Music because while I did not buy my PSR 900 from Bonner's I offered to pay for Tony's settings by email and no one even took a moment to respond to me. Very unhappy about that!
Hi Tony. Thank you for the review, must say that your reviews are always well done.
I'm thinking of getting a new keyboard. Starting again after a long time. My last one was a yamaha PSR 2100.
I am currently interested in the yamaha PSR sx900 or MODX. While I understand that both are different kinds of keyboards (sx being an arranger and modx being a syth), I wanted to ask if there is difference in the overall sound quality between both.
Would appreciate some help for deciding.
Regards
Arqam
This is true.
Very good review Tony, thank you. Excited about the new store in MK opening as I live in Northants. I currently have a PSR S970 (3 years old) so may well look to part ex if possible? Love the Genos likeness and size and the new R3. This may seem a silly question but are the Keys the same as the 970 in size and feel ? I ask as I tried the Genos and they felt so different if that makes sense ? and I prefer the 970 keys (personal preference only)
Fantastic demo and explanations as always! What an awesome instrument :)
My PSR SX700 sound great! Just bought a month ago.
Hi Toni! Very good demonstration. All the features and styles from the SX900 are included in the Genos too? Or the SX900 has new styles and features that Genos does not have?
The sx900 has everything the Genos has.
I love the 1980's songs! Now I want one! Love it!❤🙂 Thank you!
The instrument is not talked about for so long, it should be listened to so that people can come to a conclusion. This presentation resembles the story of a gypsy who sells his horse...
My older brother used to have PSR-630 back in the day. I used to sneak in to his room and play 😂😂Yamaha PSR is very popular in island 🏝 reggae live band . Amazing keyboard 🎹
I really need something like this for inspiration and ideas with Cubase and sample libraries later.
Wish I heard more folks playing orchestral pieces. Love the sound quality..which is why I ordered one. Arrives Friday. Woot.
I love the orchestra strings sounds, also grand piano and church organ.
I love almost all of the orchestral music of Mantovani and many pieces of classical music. Someday I hope to be able to play "Haydn's Cello Concerto in D" on my Yamaha PSR-SX700 arranger keyboard. Best wishes to you as you enjoy your PSR-SX900. Jerry

Just returned the pa1000 and bought the psr sx900
An amazing keyboard . So easy to work with , compare to the nightmare korg !!!! Unfortunately the touchscreen is not as good as the korg ...
Me too very cumbersome bad displays on screen , styles of korg are worst
AMAZING PERFORMANCE.
It would be nice if they sold the module of this keyboard. Especially for the professionals who go around the world
Sir please make comparison video s975 vs sx900
And VS Korg Pa1000
Yes please
Un excellent clavier rapport qualité/prix, et si l'on importe dans la mémoire interne (de nouvelles sonorités et drums kits) on peut programmer de nouveaux styles très Pro. Une très bonne continuation musicale et vive la musique.
🎹 Theret jluc.
Hi Tony, Great demo. Interesting that everyone is saying this is teh first time Yamaha have produced a keyboard where you can layer the three right hand sounds? I have a really old PSR 8000 (waiting for stock so I can buy a new SX900) which has always been able to layer three right hand sounds.
PSR 8000 I believe preceded the 9000. After that was the Tyros series. The high end Yamaha arranger's could always layer three sounds but the mid range products only 2. SX-900 and 700 is the first Yamaha mid-range arrangers to have the ability to layer 3 voices.
Hi Tony.
Pity you don’t have a Bonners store in Manchester or Liverpool.
Is the external video setup better in resolution and setup than the 975?
What about using dynamix audio drum samples in this keyboard ? I think it will sound like korgs.
Wow. How compared to yam psr 3000 that has harmony voices for singing but psr not run on battery. Psr 900 does and lighter. Appeciate your future repliey as will buy psr 900 if way better than psr 3000 vintage model that cost $2000 back in year 2000
Does it have a 16 track sequencer?
Yes
Tony would you please compare this new Yamaha with Korg PA 1000? No one on youtube has done a fair comparison yet.
It's true
Congratulations on this demonstration. Great voices great styles loved the 80s songs you played. I am from Brazil 🇧🇷. People say that this machine will be available here in October but I am not sure. A great pity the price In my country of this keyboard is so high . 👍
Psr sx900 vs modx, compare Voice quality which one is better? Just sound quality ( no feature).
Pls opinion
Yes please
Modx is a synthesizer so it is a very different machine, for example it doesn’t has auto accompaniment styles
MODX hands down. It's main focus is sounds and it does well for a great price.
What a beast
21:44 Here this
Good demonstration sir
If I wanted a big screen, which I don't, then I would just use a DAW on my desktop. But this keyboard is a lot like the one I used almost daily for 5 years. Difference is mine is valued like 10 times cheaper.
Yamaha please put in this sx900 pattern sequencer
Hi sur, this is the first time when i write you I need to learn key board but I can't buy so what shall I do now?
Hello! Can you please tell me which keyboard stand you are using for the SX900 in this video? Kind regards!
Amazing video.
Hi Tony! As a less able keyboard player, does the SX900 play single finger left hand chords, which can be 'transposed'? have an older Yamaha keyboard that does this - a PSR7000, the one with a floppy disk drive built in.
Yes it does single finger chords and has transpose buttons too...
Great presentation. Do you have any idea of when they will release the next keyboard to replace sx900.?
Thanks
This sounds perfect for small gigs like Retirement homes and home visits.
How does the vocal harmonizer compare to Genos?
Thanks Tony.... I have a 975, and am thinking about trading up. But, can I load new Styles (specifically the 3 additional Free Play styles), into my 975?
The content: Very entertaining and gives knowledge
The name: Bonners 💀 💀 ☠️
Very nice demo as always Tony.
If I knew this SX900 platform earlier I would not had bought the Roland FA-06
