It’s worth noting that a large part of Jack’s campaign was alerting creators that had had their content stolen and helping them to understand their options. This lead to several creators filing copyright claims against Sniperwolf making her edit their content out of her videos. It wasn’t just harassment, he was actually helping people.

Having played the bingo game, the level of stealing she does is horrifying. You have people contacting Jack to say their content was stolen, or even that their underage siblings have had their content stolen. Every stream, Jack does a big shoutout to any of the watermarks he can find that haven’t been cropped out, and always puts the links to those creators in the description of his vids. Sniperwolf can’t even do that.

@@wp912 I think you’re confusing “transformative” with “informative”. Transformative means they have to add to the content they are taking.
For example, a remix might only have vocals from a song but the vocals are edited and the instrumental is completely new. That’s transformative. It’s changing the original content.
Sniperwolf takes videos, and reads the on screen text out load, then describes the video like the audience is blind. Sometimes she doesn’t even react AT ALL! There’s times when she’s literally not on the screen while a video is playing. That is NOT transformative.
well the thing is she's exploiting this and making money off of stealing content from creators, most who don't want their content to be stolen. and youtube is promoting the stealing of content that she does. While other creators are working hard making content.

This was incredibly triggering for creators all over the platform since even her fans know she steals content and hasn't gotten any original content on her channel. How is YT promoting this trash on people? That is what Jack has been trying to reach out to YT for the better part of a year.
Lots of the time, sniperwolf also gets more attention and views that the original creator by adding nearly nothing, which is really aggravating for many youtubers who try so hard

I think Jack has pretty cleverly operated within the confines of Fair Use for his videos. I don’t think she can claim any kind of harassment from him for his content. What he is doing is parody, but another key part of fair use we often forget is criticism which is a foundation of what he’s doing.

Given the frequency and persistent nature of his videos, it could probably be argued to be harassment. Fair Use statutes don't absolve you of harassment charges, they absolve you of copywrite infringement charges. They're two different things altogether.
She's still a giant piece of garbage that broke the law, but that also doesn't make the harassment case any better or worse.

The doxxing in this case is 100% illegal due to the intent. She shared a picture of Jack's house late at night, house code and everything, publicly, with the caption "let's settle this like adults." When someone says "let's settle this like adults," everyone knows that's the exact opposite of what they're gonna do. It was very clearly malicious, and the biggest indicator that it was is the fact she deleted the post shortly after. She knows what she did, and she's trying to pull the victim card like a pathetic worm.
For a woman with a record including armed robbery, I'm pretty sure her idea of being an adult is resorting to straight up violence when her main character syndrome is challenged; she's fucking insane

But that means she went out of her way to look for it, only to learn she was nearby, ask her fans, and pull up to his house to take a picture and post it.

The one thing I think you forgot to mention is that Jack’s passion to point a light at her behavior has made a difference. Tiktok creators who weren’t aware of what she was doing were able to make copyright claims on videos that wrongfully featured their videos (without permission or credit). UA-cam hasn’t taken action, but the SSSniperwolf team HAS been forced to. Videos that were previously over 10 minutes are now more like 9 and a half, and videos that just barely passed the 8 minute threshold to be eligible for Adsense are now under 8 minutes. Her team has had to edit out and remove these things to try and save themselves from proof of copyright claims (which is downright disgusting that they’re manipulating the system to try and save face) and her channel is taking massive blows because she’s finally being held accountable. That’s one thing she won’t mention publicly but is almost certainly why she stalked him

This is something that really needs to be pointed out. The fact her team has actually had to remove clips that then leads to some going under the 8 minute mark probably plays a big part in her escalating the situation.
I love how she cyberbullied her critics, committed a literal crime, and then tried to gaslight her audience by saying “NO NO, he actually harassed *me.* I’m the victim!!!”
The sad thing is she's gotten no consequences from this as far as her job goes. Lots of people on twitter are angry, though, for what that's worth.

But in general a lot of things involving creators of this scale do Infact frustrate a bunch of people. People may not comment they will talk about it maybe friends or just internally. But in general there is a tiny percentage of partial narcissists in general that even comment on videos. Most videos barely get 2-5k comments w millions of views. But they have that many fucking views. Just because people aren’t all expressing their feelings doesn’t at all mean it’s fair to reduce all creator drama or drama that maybe originated on twitter to just being twitter people being cringe.
I mean, the good thing is the further Sniper goes with this crap, the quicker it will all be over for her.

If a video is already in circulation on social media it is usually not copyrighted at all. Its not like a movie, you wouldn't see a social media post of an entire film being circulated over social media because this is against the law. The videos sniperwolf uses do not fall under the same laws.
As long as she does not use them maliciously, such as to incite violence, or to profit from them buy advertising a product or brand, or lie and say she made the video or falsely describe the people in the video she is not breaking the law.

IMO sssniperwolf is a bad person because she steals content and doxxes people, not necessarily just because she broke laws. Whether or not you committed a crime isn't the best metric to gage if you're a good or bad person, there are plenty of laws that were created with intent to target people rather than keep people safe; think marijuana possession/consumption, and there are laws that most people just don't care about that much, think speed limits. The average person knowingly or unknowingly breaks laws daily, including you and me. We're just lucky the average person also doesn't get caught. @@colton6854
Another note that I think is really important is that Jack is not only pointing out and bringing awareness to sssniperwolf’s behaviour, but him and his team also ACTIVELY seek out the creators of the content she steals and informs and credits them.
Commenting to boost this, but to also clarify there are some freebootes she happens to react to as well, which once found out are freebooters (not that hard lol) aren't credited.
Another thing is that a lot of the creators they reach out to actually get their videos removes from snipers video and it’s easily noticeable where they cut it
Extra very important context; Jack (and many of his twitch viewers) have been alerting creators that they can copyright claim (may be the wrong term i'm not sure) their videos and get them taken out of her videos, and they have. To the point that she's deleted entire videos of hers because they end up getting cut under the 8 minute mark and she can't get that midroll in. She didn't REALLY care about him shit talking her until it affected her wallet. THAT'S what has her so angry, desperate, and quite frankly, dangerous. I've seen multiple videos covering this situation and nobody has mentioned that, even though, in my opinion, it's the most important part.
This. Always follow the money. The power to end these criticisms by CREDITING THE ORIGINAL CREATORS was constantly in her reach, it was not necessary to drive over to his house. It really seems like she was just pissed off, petty and vengeful. She needs to face consequences.

As of YT Term of Service a strike takes down the video, and with 3 the channel and the YT account are gone forever.
Not only they are letting her keep the videos up, by only cutting the specific segments, but she already got more than 3 strikes.

I think it's important to point out that Jack was really helping out smaller creators who really didn't have the options or the support to get their videos removed from her channel. Because of him streaming this and making these videos, he's had his safety and livelihood threatened
Yeah I think in just one stream he had three or four people come forward about having their content stolen. I also thought it was kinda bizarre when Lud was making the "jjjacksfilms could be harassment" argument. I get it was a bit of a devils advocate thing but jack is actively providing much more transformative reaction content that promotes the creators sssniperwolf ignores or edits out, and helps the people she's stolen from. He also hasn't brigaded or anything like that and has just been laughing at her braindead "reactions" with his chat on a channel that isnt even his main one.

@@proto6948 I've been wondering if it could be considered harassment or not within UA-cam's guidelines or at least the company's perspective for some time now. Ever since Leafy got obliterated due to doing something similar on paper, it's at least not a stretch of the imagination to consider that it could happen to Jack, too. To anyone with more than half a brain, it's obviously far different from the Leafy situation but I can't honestly sit here and think that Jack's channels are safe with UA-cam as the Judge, Jury, and Executioner.
Bringing up her past record is important. She clearly has not learned her lesson from being arrested TWICE for violent crimes. Its not unfair to bring it up. She has put him in danger and proved that she knows where he lives and that she is willing to physically confront him or send her insane fans after him.
If it was someone who did wholesome content all the time and can be proven that it was done out of genuine lack of knowledge, and they had no criminal history then it would be bad but not hugely problematic.
According to other commenters, she should 100% know what doxxing is because she has been a victim of it before, she has history of violent crimes, is currently undergoing a lawsuit, and she knows how unhinged her fanbase can be.
She is admittedly, a clear and present danger, maybe not of personally assaulting jack and his wife but of giving her insane fans a target to attack.

Her fans are already after him. Now, any fan of hers working at a restaurant will mess with his food, mechanics will mess with his car, neighbors will deliberately disturb him, and if any of her fans are in local gangs, his life could already be in danger. There are a lot of profoundly stupid and evil people who wont hesitate to take a swing, and they arent looking for anything more than an excuse, and justice is the last thing they care about.
Another portion of the story that you missed is that just before the doxxing happened, and likely the reason she even doxxed in the first place, is that there were a handful of creators that Jacksfilms interviewed that ended up successfully striking some of her videos. In the interviews, Jack brings up the current youtube video and you can see hard cuts where she edited out the video to remove the content/striked material. After this, there were so many content creators initiating strikes against videos that there was an 11 minute video of tik tok clips that got shortened down to around 8 minutes. Jack has been a driving force for change, and it has reached a point where it's inconveniencing her enough to dox him.
This should be pinned because this is the most important part of the entire situation
I'm adding that I counted more then 10 copyright strikes as of now, and youtube insted of banning her, gave her the possibility to cut out the specific parts.
YT also wrote to the creators giving her this strikes and asked a bunch of personal info to confirm their identity.
2 years ago a troll gave 12 copyright strikes to a friend and youtube refused to remove them, even after providing all the proofs. As of now he still can't create another channel

If I understand correctly, the system works like this inherently: you have to doxx yourself (as the person you're trying to strike receives the information provided) in order to file a strike in the first place. YT does want you to provide that data but not as an 'extra step' to confirm you really are who you are, but as an obligatory step in order to even initiate the process.
@@Daltoniss nope, you usually have to provide all those info when you have to counter a strike that you received, but to give a strike you have to provide almost nothing, that's why trolls can give fake strike so easly.
You can see in jack's video the message they received a couple of days after they filed the strike, it's not a normal procedure, he had to log in his tik tok account to confirm he was the owner.

one of the things that Jack listed as a motivator of why he was so passionate about this is that UA-cam encourages content like this, they literally tweeted about her success and when Jack called them out on it she called him bald and accused him of being sexist (you know, cause Lia's such a girls girl, she cares so much about the unfair treatment of her fellow female creators cough cough) that's what lead him into doing this. she can claim he's harassing her, but at the end of the day she jumped to doxing him and his family, who knows how many delusional fans she has who might decide to go after them, I wouldn't be surprised if he got swatted because of this. it's really disgusting behavior, Lia tries to play dumb but she's got a history of this kind of behavior so I hope no one's falling for it.

a vast majority of sssniperwolf's content is react content, which ludwig explains is quite shameless, and she is milking the work of other creators. MrBeast's main channel is filled with genuine projects that he creates every day, pewdiepie has so much more than stealing content not only now but in the past, but sssniperwolf has shown that the only skill she has with youtube is stealing other videos. Both of your examples definitely do react content, but that itself is not the issue. The issue is reacting being the ONLY thing you do, which is what make sssniperwolf far worse than most channels on the platform.
UA-cam refuses to do anything about because theyre a bloated useless company, with thousands of employees who collect income and do nothing, so Jack is taking it upon himself to attempt to shame sssniperwolf out of doing this vast amount of react content. React content is fine, but she is not doing it correctly, and is using a horrendous loophole to make money off of other people with minimal effort.

One more bit of context: beyond using shame, Jack has been telling people to use UA-cam's tools to claim monetization from her videos or to get their content removed from her videos if they don't approve of the way their content is being used. It's gotten to the point where some of her videos had to become shorter than 8 minutes or to be deleted altogether. I'd imagine that's a big part of why we're here now.

Crediting the creators does nothing to help her legally against fair use. She is taking the video in it's entirety and reuploading it for her own personal gain. If you look up the 4 pillars of fair use they are either non applicable or strictly fights what she is doing. The only reason to credit the creators is to cover her ass. The problem being as JacksFilms has discussed, she steals their content. So all crediting the creator would do is allow them to be notified of theft and then in return report her of stealing their content

Few things lud missed in his research:
1) Jack has called out many male youtubers in the past. Not one, but several. This includes leafy and rwj and many others. SW is just using the feminist/victim card.
2) JJJackfilms bingo really showed how awful her reactions were. She would never credit the tiktoks she stole and actively going out of her way to remove the credit. She would either summarize the video or say the same things the video said. She has reused the same clips, not in different videos, the same video to increase run time. She has even just "forgotten" to react - she literally did not even include her face cam for some of them and literally played tiktoks in the entirety without her facecam. Thats not even reacting, thats just straight up stealing no questions asked.
3) This all started because youtube where does sniperwolf get her content? her fans~! and named her one of the best creators on the platform. This was incredibly triggering for creators all over the platform since even her fans know she steals content and hasn't gotten any original content on her channel. How is YT promoting this trash on people? That is what Jack has been trying to reach out to YT for the better part of a year.

It's a detail worth mentioning that, through Jack's campaign, he has been able to help some of the creators she steals from claim their content and force her to edit them out or remove her video entirely. Which is hype, but also likely contributes to why things are escalating now specifically.
Oh shit also important to note is that the videos don't get "claimed." UA-cam's intentionally giving her the opportunity to act-edit or take down her videos-before the claim processes so that the creators STILL don't get credit or justice. So it's progress, but still very much a systematic issue.

It was because UA-cam (as credited in his tweet shown in the video) had praised SssniperWolf saying she's such a good creator. He had come after her after being insulted because UA-cam themselves had essentially said that it's ok to steal content. Which is where the problem he has lies
Anyone that legitimately thinks Jack is harrassing Lia by criticizing her largely illegal actions that she publicizes on one of the biggest youtube channels on the platform baffles me. There's targetted action but not after her safety or even her career if you think about it. He highlights when she does admirable things in the reactions like giving actual insight, acknowledging when she actually gives credit, disproves baseless conspiracy theories painting her in a worse light, and discourages false copyright flagging and mass reporting. There's no intimidation here, he simply sees somebody exploiting other people and calls it out.
And also, under Californian state law, the closest definition of harassment that Jack matches is "repeated actions that seriously alarm, annoy, or harass you, that serve no legitimate purpose and cause you extreme emotional distress." And I'd argue the main purpose is to inform people of their rights to their content and of their options to enforce their copyright protection through UA-cam's own tools that they themselves promote. Not to attack her due to some vendetta. That's what Lia did with, you know, DOXXING HIS HOUSE.

Reaction videos can be done well if they offer original insight and, again, credit to the original creator(s). "Doing their jobs" as UA-camrs must entail respecting fair use laws and not being a lazy freebooter, which keeps other creators from doing their jobs and making an honest income.

You're aware he's been around for 15+ years, has made two extremely influential formats with YGS and YIAY, and has made parody content about everything for the entire time right?
But sure he has targetted a total amount of like 7 creators (or creator groups) in total over those 15+ years, that's definitely the thing that defined his career. After all, some of the creators he "destroyed" were Jinx, Oneeseon, Leefy, and RJW, who all left youtube after being called out into oblivion on how shitty their content was, with two of them even being removed by UA-cam themselves, because of how blatantly they stole content and harassed other creators. But that was definitely Jacks biggest accomplishments, and not single handedly creating a format that has been stolen dozens of times by creators multiple times his size.

Out of literally ALL of this, I am so upset how scared Erin is. She is so right. She's a normal human being, a normal member of society, etc etc. To me and a lot of the fans of Jack, Jack is also some normal guy who goofs off on the internet and is just a separate entity from his content. Yes he and Erin share bits of their lives, but it's always felt like a pretty hard line on what we as the audience are able to interact in that way. Maybe it's just been my personal view on UA-cam personalities over the last decade or so as more and more doxxing, swatting, PPOs, and fallouts have happened; that people deserve the privacy they begin with even with the work and "celebrity" status they hold. No one but who you tell and invite should know where you live, that's a blanket statement that everyone should abide by. For her to go after someone who is literally innocent, Erin, and claim Jack is the one she needs a PPO against is WILD.
Creators/posters are opening themselves up to critical questions, negative or positive feedback, harsh questioning, and everything in-between; the nature of posts and uploads with a comment section is to be critiqued one way or another. She has been on UA-cam for long enough to know that VERY well. She has been criticized, she has been laughed at, she has been praised! It shows so fucking much of who she is as a person for her to basically crack like this. Going out of her way to PUBLICLY go to who I'd say is a stranger's house and post it for MILLIONS of people to see, including the person and his wife, with the intent of what, scaring them into submission?? Erin doesn't deserve that. Jack doesn't deserve that. Fuck, Klondike, Sundae, and Chipwich don't deserve that. Back when Jack and Jenna were (albeit jokingly) feuding over who's dogs were superior, Jenna didn't post where Jack lived or vice versa. Hell, Jinx didn't post where Jack lived!! I would also like to talk about her hypocrisy in attempting to use sexism as a cover, the "He's just mad a woman has more views" excuse, while blatantly empowering negative stereotypes of women as another cover for her doxxing him recently. Her joke of "What would you do if we showed up outside your house" with her trying to look harmless and "cute" blatantly draws on a negative stereotype that women are inherently weak and passive, and thus, can never be the aggressors. It's a negative stereotype of women that also causes a equal negative stereotype of men always being the aggressors in any conflict. In essence, her joke is trying to say "I'm just a small woman, I can't possibly be a threat, he's just being mean to me".
Keep that in mind, she is simultaneously trying to say she shouldn't be undervalued for being a woman, but she is also undervaluing herself in an attempt to say she can't possibly be a threat. She is a sociopath weaponizing stereotypes and societal biases to paint herself as a victim and suit her own needs.

Jack has always been a leader when it comes to stopping bad reactors. He called it out before TikTok was even invented.
I wanna make a really brief note: It's not that ALL reaction content is bad. It's that a lot of reaction content creators don't actually transform the content in a way that complies with fair use. There are some that DO provide that transformative element, like when an industry specialist provides a reaction to something that involves their industry (i.e. nuclear engineers reacting to radiological incident documentaries or operatic vocalists reacting to songs that have singing in them). The key is that the reactor needs to provide some additional thought to the content. Criticism, explanation, analogy... There's gotta be something new. Jack isn't being anti-fair-use here. Rather, he's promoting the protection of it from those who misuse it.

I think like 99% of react content is bad because it's lazy. You need a quick buck so you find a video someone else worked hard on and film yourself watching it while adding some minimal commentary and platitudes. In 15 - 60 minutes you're done and you can cash in your check for a piece of the profits.
This doesn't mean it's illegal or completely wrong, but it is something I'd like to discourage rather than reward.

What’s being lost with folks trying to cover this is Jack has been shouting out the creators she hasn’t been and that’s one of the main reasons he keeps doing this. What the chat has been doing is finding the original creators to bring into his chat and he’s helping them get control back of their content. What’s happening in the process is Lia is having to remove the clips she gets flagged for and that’s a great thing. Jacks got a great sense of humor and he’s doing good work.
What’s even better is that cuts of the removed videos are very noticeable so his work is clearly having an effect on her content as well as the fact that a couple videos have been removed entirely because of creators rising up

The reason he is so passionate is because he’s been a UA-camr for so long that he has surely had to fight hundreds of false copyright claims or strikes even if it fully qualifies under fair use.
