This was much cooler than I expected. This is Trey's anti aging regimen.
The man is addicted to playing. I love it so much
@@DillonStrichmanmuch better than being addicted to Oxys! That’s for sure. In that respect, him and Jerry are very similar
Trey sure does look happy playing and jamming with the Goose guys. You love to see it.
My first Goose show...WOW, insane, crazy, dynamic...totally blown away, can't wait for the next show!
Holy balls what a good first show
@Adam Jacobs Lmao what does any of that have to do with this? i've seen Robert and .Paak and they were fucking electric, great shows, but these were also electric and totally killer shows.
@Adam Jacobs why?
Mind-blowing, gut-wrenching, heart-glowing, booty-shaking golden egg from Goose & Trey. ❤
Trey is really pushing Goose in these jams. That first peak during the composed section of the song around 7 minutes in is so damn good. Trey takes the lead and in my head sounds exactly what a Phish bliss peak would sound like with a rhythm guitar
This is exactly it
Yes. Nailed it.
I know *exactly* what you mean
he's playing with guys that have that energy again. Not several kids, and obligations, these guys still dont know theyre ceiling like phish in 90s and didnt feel like they had one for me in audience lol. So technical and so sloppy on purpose for tension at same time bluegrass, blues, jazz, rock, reggae goose soaked it up and went to sources too you can tell roots reggae lee scratch, steely dan. This is his fountain of youth. They all have chops he just knows all these beautiful ways to take these journeys. Sounds incredible
His experience and listening chops are second to none among his modulations. What a fucking legend. A musician, not a guitarist. Hope he’s on stage at 82 like Phil. Some of that patience is rubbing off on the Goose. And this is all because Trey beat his deamons. God I hope I can do the same
That look in Rick’s eye at 14:06, absolutely priceless.
Ben is the beast. So powerful and accurate.
The glue
Ben is an incredibly talented drummer. Trevor also tends to go uncredited.
@@sigma1217 They are the weakest links... yet so strong! I hope Goose stays together forever!
@@chrisdaubert6259 the drummer is the weakest link? Yikes
@@whiteheadcm um, yea... thats a head scratcher
100% sold on GOOSE! Futures bright boys n girls!!!
I can’t even wrap my brain around how incredible this is!!!!
What I like is there are some bum moments in it, then it flies again. That’s a jam.
Amazing. I used to like Goose and love Trey. Now I LOVE Goose and still love Trey.
This jam is All I Need.
There was no time for messing around here. They got going quickly and there was great stepping up/ soloing and great listening by the goose and the red man.
Reminds me of when Santana had Phish open for them. So sick!! Passing on the torch in some ways and sharing the light it brings!
"History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme." -Stephen King
I thought the exact same (Santana) - bringing in the next generation. Love to see it!
Saw Phish open for Santana at the Mann. I was perturbed that we had to sit through some 'unknown' opening act. We were blown away by Phish and left 5 songs into the Santana set, but in my defense, my wife was 7 months pregnant.
I don't like the phrase "Passing the torch", because it implies one person losing something for another person's gain. This is one torch being used to help light another. It is an additive experience.
This morning I was watching a vid of Goose playing at a wedding in 2016!! Things have sure changed!!! A VERY fun band!!! ☮️☮️👍🏻😊

@@Fatty_Margoyou probably found it by now but if not it’s goose at the night shift brewery I’m pretty sure
Goosebumps
Probably even punnier than my pun.
The torch has been passed. Thanks Uncle Trey.
Love this. Trey needed this. We needed this. Rock on.
The torch has been passed with echos of 97’ space funk.. chefs kiss👌
If it weren't for that Radio City Hungersite, this would be #1...but damn, you can't beat the goosebumps Trey thru down in Hungersite
That cow funk sound that everybody's been chasing since 1997 Boom 💥
Around 15:00
Seriously OG vibe
eh its decent aint no body been chasing it since 97 tho lol
@@cdw1262 Cool story, Bro
Yah you like that Cowbell Funk
@@secretamericayoutubechanne2961 More cowbell!!
Rhythm section (as good as they are for what Goose does) totally failed on the transition to funk. Just kept playing straight, never messed with the rhythm or divided up the beat into anything remotely interesting.
Peter on Clav driving the jam starting at 14:55 was one of the best moments of this whole night. Fire!
if you are inclined check out 4/5.98 cavern by phish its famous from the island tour and I was at it at 15:00 trey is playin very simiar funk chords to that intro to cavern it was instant nostalia and so freaking good agree 100% peters face too lol like oh man this too much fun filthy funk ... those moments though cavern into in 98 and here at that 15:00 mark you reference its wonderful. Crazy forme have similar feeluing and heavy nostalgia 25 years later kudos to men on stage in both instances :) cheers bud
Trey - he's just such a nice guy - and to me I appreciate talented people who are also nice people.

This phunk is deep
Rick running through the forests of Dagobah with Trey on his shoulders
This whole thing was great, but that groove there at the end was frikin spectacular.
Really cool jam. I’m amazed at how locked in Trey and Rick were. A true musical conversation. And Goose as a band are fantastically tight. So thankful that I get to witness this incredible moment in music.
Trey sounding like a snake charmer around 20 mins. Remember hearing something similar during a jam at the halloween TAB show. Love it
the bass line at 15:50 is cash money
This makes me appreciate being alive.
Awesome collaboration. I could listen to this all day long 🔥❤️
So Ready for Fairfax! Slow Ready for Reading!
Reading ftw
@@jg8678 Yeah man, I'm hoping they pull the stops for the run closer!
Love love this band! I hope to see them in Cincinnati ❤️
Instant Classic! Nice Job Fellas!
This is such a goddamned good performance 🥲
Unbelievable. Experienced first time Phish in !998 in Copenhagen, Europe. In my wildests dreams i wouldn't imagine that 26 years later, jam psycho dance music would evolve so much and that Trey would be somehow still part of its peak. Rick is an elf
Face melted 😮
This is so F'in good.....
Fresh
gave me cavern providence 4/5/98 chills around 15:00.. when trey told everyone to go home who didnt want to dance to the phunk in 98 :)
This is so freaking good it's unbelievable!
Awesome
This is all I needed.
Amazing. Can't wait to see them in Fairfax next week!
See you tonight at Mohegan!
Watching Ben play is like watching a high schooler play drums in their basement compared to Cotter. Such a huge sound change!
Ben’s also an incredible drummer. If anything I think he’s a bit more intricate that cotter but cotter is a better fit for the sound. Either way they’re both great and are a monumental part of this band we know and love.
That is one badass tune right there.
This is great musicians playing great music.
I've admittedly been very critical of Trey the past 5 years or so, but he played great here. This was fantastic.
This morning it was nice out so I drank some coffee on the deck and listened to the birds sing...Might take a bike ride this afternoon.
I'm glad you've been keeping 'Tabs' on him.
Get it? Pun intended. Relatively proud of this one...
@@MrDanimal42 🤣🤣🤣
@@jamieharr4459 am I missing a joke here? I feel like this went over my head.
The GOATs
Trey teaching the great Goose how to create new harmonic ideas and tension. This is the best Goose has ever sounded.
From Jedi to Jedi Master.
Lowell show was absolute fire.
Phenomenal
Glens Falls tonight baby! Can’t wait!
Let's goooo!!!!
Good lord this the sickest
Amazing guitar duet/duel
Thank you for this! I really wish there was any video at all of the Pancakes that followed. There isn't even any fan shot stuff.
Okay I hear the Percussion a little more now! Thanks
So cool to see Trey playing with another guitar player around 11 min they get dirty with it!!!
So good edit: beginning to get Peter’s personality a little better. Talented guy.
hes like trey music , as compliment, nerd hes all positive id bet anything musically rick and trey like PB and chocoalte but backstage id pay for behind the scenes he and trey are in conversations only the two would enjoy and find humor in lol. Kindered spirits for sure its another awesome thing about this tour. Phish as Col Bruce Hampton Dere trucks WSP phish mentor used to refer to band as "well intentioned" meaning they are doing for the art not the fame and thats why Trey loves goose so much. To do bakers dozen at msg no repeats, Fare the well learned 100 new dead tunes in month, TAB, oyterhead, some devil album with Dave mathews , countless Derek Trucks or TTB even albums, now Goose hes really into these songs hes invested and cheerleader but what a musical vocabulary no wonder such a space shot no room left in brain lol just meolody and harmony and voicings
@@ryanphelan6861 pretty sure that whole pb and ice cream thing is some kind of inside joke. That's just my thought.
@@lonestarstatechris im sure phish are merry pranktsers they have made audience ooh and awe but also but end of jokes.... great scene in bittersweet motel where trey has roady chop allband members heads out of fan photos back then they wouldn;t know nothing was digital ....merry pranktsters for sure bittersweet motel is one of great docs of phish . Trey is alittle embarressed by it he was partying 97 europe tour. when trey after reading bad review saying they urinate listeners ears and listeners will love it. He thought wow what a great job I have lol....or the arnold pumping iron analogy poor page is trying to make iterview tasteful lol...
This is unbelievable, almost. Im really happy for Goose. I never thought a band would come along anytime soon and be able to play on this level. Trey the Jedi, is passing the torch to his new padawan. Music at this calibre will open your eyes to God♥️✝️
enough with the torch passing Trey just wants to play all the time

Kick ass
What if you were a Goose fan and never heard of Tray 🤯
Then you’d be the biggest noob to see a show

Congratulations on a straight up barn burner of a tour from top to the bottom and everything in between 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
peter gettin it at 15:00 is beyond dope...
agreed so rare to have guitar interplay to that extent on clavinet or any funky organ it was hard initially because trey can create any tone on that rig and hes originally a drummer so hes always blended so well with rhytm section especially in funk mode im repeating myself but it reminds me of one of my favorite ever live phish moments at island tour in 98 when they did funky cavern intro for encore 4/5/98 give that intro a listen and 15 minute markwhere pete lights up its so cool somuch nostalgia and thats huge compliment to remind me of a favorite funky phish moment:) cheers
haven't had a band come out since phish that's really excited me as much as Goose. So cool
Glens Falls next , can’t wait . Can that recreate the Famous Phish concert that went well into the next morning from years ago.
why i have i not called in sick to my job and gone on this tour... its only 9 shows .. damnit !
Sweet baby Jesus
When did Rick take off his sweatshirt? Hahah
Goose and Trey please Vinyl!!!!!!!
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooose
Whoa. Trey pushin Rick? Rick pushin ... Trey!? Holy shit. Beautiful backup band btw.
This is phenomenal! I think they blew Trey's mind the way they dropped back into the chorus at the end 😄
Damn from 13:00 is just goes into overdrive and then Pfunk
Amazing!
Is Rick playing a Paul Languedoc Custom Guitar?
This shit gives me so much hope for the fire to keep on burning, and for so very long!
Excellent videos, Incredible Music, and a big F#^ing Smile!
Thanks, this made my night .
Nah, it’s a Paul Reed Smith (PRS). Just looks similar.
@@CLaneShoe Thanks sir! Ya, after a closer look I figured it out. Guess it was just wishful thinking on my part! I'm a Sucker for a good story (like this wasn't good enough already!)
Get down, get funkeh.
They are working well together with a little more rehearsal under the belt
Last segment sounded like Halfway to the moon
Abt the 15:00 >>funk jam sickness!
100 % check phish famous funky island tour encore 4/5/98 cavern its eery so similar and freaking good. They are hooked up...I was at show btw when treyy told people to leave if they didnlt want to get down to the funk :)

Crazy, there's no sound!
That's cute. They wore matching guitars
It s kinda Uber seeing Trey Christian them and Bless them passing on the torch. 🙏Much as Socrates, did to Aristotle, and Aristotle to Plato. S.P.A.
