I’m considering getting a fx3. I feel like it’s more practical for a lot of situations. I’m mainly shooting weddings right now and a smaller lighter setup on a gimbal is ideal. As much as I love handheld stuff
Couldn't agree more. The mirrorless bodies just don't work for rigging sadly. No matter what something is in the way, something slows me down and I've found myself enjoying my a7iv and a7siii over my fx30 because I can use the EVF and not have to rig it up. This of course limits my compositions but I'm enjoying it more.
@Ryan-Payne fair enough. I still prefer a rigged up FX30 over my a7IV, sometimes I rig that one up too, but not quite as big. It would be nice if they maybe made an FX60 or something. Basically what the FX30 is to the FX3, but for the FX6. They could even use the same sensor as the FX30, but adding all those cinema features and that form factor would be great. When it comes to the EVF like you mentioned, I've personally never used it much, and much prefer an external monitor.
Curious why you didn’t just snag the pyro 7(I am assuming it’s because then you can custom rig any monitor to rx/tx where if it was the pyro 7 it’d be locked in)
@owenjenkinsofficial I would've loved the Pyro 7 but it only just came out, and I recently bought the Pyro S so it'd work great with that but I kind of don't really need another monitor right now, so I won't be buying one. But also what you said is part of the reason
Yeah they're good, but that doesn't mean full frame isn't often better. I like to consider myself a reasonable full frame snob. I think full frame is better in general but that doesn't mean crop sensors aren't good.
Have the FX3, I’ve done the same with it. Likewise love to have a FX6 , FX3 & a A7iv suit my needs without the cost.
Fair enough. I have an FX30 and a7IV, and the main reason I got the FX30 over the FX3 is because of the price as well
Man your video are pure masterpiece of knowledge easily understandable even for beginners I think you bring up a lot of value, keep up the good work
Thanks, I appreciate that, glad you think so.

@AustinWestbro totally fair, the FX3 is a phenomenal camera, and definitely easier to use in a smaller configuration or on a gimbal

Everybody always disses the crop but they’re good I swear

Rotate a whole instead of having Open Gate is mad.
@juanthyme1569 open gate would be great but for some reason Sony only puts that in the Venice and nothing else
Bro where are you buying your cameras? Fx30 is only 1500 and fx6 is only 6k
@AustinWestbro I'm talking in Australian dollars, because that's where I'm buying cameras
@@itmeremyoh okay that makes sense. Sorry!
