great video, especially i liked the brief explanation for each tool and what its for, certainly one of the best demonstrations on here, thanks for that, will now go and try it on own driveway, here in the UK. thanks for that
@RICHMONDHILL1981 - you can adjust the broom finish as you prefer. I tried to match it to the existing driveway. but if you want more slip resistance a heavier hand with the broom will give you that.
Awesome video Russ... just poured an 8' x 10' slab - mixed it from cement/sand/gravel... me and one other guy... man it sucked. Didn't look nearly as good yours. I should have bought that bull float. Just glad it's over with!
I had to laugh at the end....concrete waits for no man...............the rest of that saying is...............and there is no such thing as too much help !
My scenario, sidewalk curb is actually higher than slightly sunken/cracked slob/sidewalk and I like to make it even again. Can I lay rapid set cement over then paint it with two coats of portland cement and then spray it with concrete sealer. Should I use rapid set cement alone or add some sand to prevent cracking.

Looks okey. But by putting a 2x4 on the slab when putting the grover helps keeping it straight.

there's so much work involved in getting concrete right.
for a down hill driveway would you want to have the finish a little rough? i was thinking about grip, esp. in winter.
concrete doesnt wait. especially when its comin off the truck already set. h20 brother
How long do you let it set up for before you broom it

you could use a concrete resurfacer - Quickcrete makes a line of products. Just make sure you use a bonding agent on your
old concrete.
what did this job cost?
Do more
You could save the world from destruction and some one would still slag you off ! Slab looks fine to me .....
+phatcat1210 It looks good to me too.
I went to the hater Paulo's channel, but only found some music videos...no concrete work. Your slab work looked pretty good to me!
