Thanks for answering. Big fan of heavy for caliber bullets. Especially those ELDX's, they can over expand and lose their jackets if they are traveling to fast.@@Guidedhunts

Out of interest, is the bear killed for food? I can't see why you'd want to kill it otherwise.

They are hunted for population control. Some people eat them. The best tundra oysters you can get!

Most grizzlies arent fit to eat, they tend to taste like thier primary diet, inland grizzlies are okay but coastals will actually taste fishy. However one single season of no bear hunting in Alaska would destroy the venison population, which would subsequently kill the wolf population. Also venison is the primary red mean of Alaska natives

You should look up AFOGNAK WILDERNESS LODGE. Good deer , elk , and brown bear hunting and a fantastic lodge. Just north of Kodiak.
