Some Sako rifles eject the spend case straight up instead of out the side. A case ejected straight up can hit the bottom of the optic and fall right back into the open action. If a Sako rifle was being used at the 1:12 mark, the jam potentially could have been prevented by rolling the rifle to the right (clockwise in the shooter’s hand) while running the bolt.
It’s truly heartbreaking to hear about the guide’s passing. These guides are incredibly skilled and brave, dedicating their lives to the wilderness and helping others experience it safely. Their loss is felt deeply by the community.
Sounds like someone’s critiquing the irony in the narration! Spring hunting can indeed be challenging for bears, as they’re coming out of hibernation, lean and hungry, and competing for food. But seeing someone shift from talking about that struggle to hunting a buck mid-story does create a pretty funny contrast.
He “Short-Stroked” his bolt.Thats why Winchester created the Controlled Extraction type bolt before 1964.They resemble the German Mauser action. They’re used for killing the most dangerous mammal of all…..Human beings,& they have to be reliable. That 1st guy would NEVER go w/me.
Yes, they are! Polar bears are actually the largest land carnivores, often slightly larger than grizzlies. Adult males can weigh between 900 and 1,600 pounds (410 to 720 kg) and stand around 10 feet tall when on their hind legs. Grizzly bears, while massive and powerful, tend to be a bit smaller, with adult males generally weighing between 400 and 790 pounds (180 to 360 kg). Polar bears are built for the harsh Arctic environment, where size and bulk help them retain warmth and hunt seals across icy terrain.
I believe it's more likely willing to eat people in between Seals and Penguins. And more likely to do it without bothering to kill you first. Or so I've heard.
This may be hard to understand for an animal lover but the truth is they have no other competition besides their own species. If they were not hunted by humans they would eventually eat themselves out of food sources and be highly susceptible to disease. Along with that would be a small gene pool that would ultimately doom the species. Hunting although hard to watch and sometimes understand is in fact helping species all over the world.

Indeed my Blaser R8 is far more reliable 😎
“Spring hunting is tough for bears” then proceeds to shoot a hard horned buck seconds later.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of the guide.

Favorite short story about Alaska . . . "To Build a Fire" by Jack London
You’re in the Wide Open. What do you think?
He’s gona smell you WAY before you see him or he sees you.

I've seen many bear-hunting videos where a bolt action gun jammed up.
User error. The adrenaline causes people to short stroke the ejection of the fired shell. It’s almost never the bolts fault.
What am I getting myself into wanting to chase one of these Brown Bears with my bow?
Better have a good guide with a powerful firearm. 😂 And be in good shape. Good luck, I hope you get your chance.
That deer is a 2yr old. He wouldn’t be legal in our county in Texas.

I would assume softs on bears??
Polar bears are bigger.

What the world needs another stuffed bear. What a man.
El instinto asesino del plaser de matar los animales
If you're going to cry about it don't watch it
What's the purpose of killing these majestic animals?
Ah yes, off course,
more 'tough guys'..🥴
Why are you killing these bears
Because they're killing fish

many reasons. Food, pelt, fur. Or you could sell those parts of the bear for money. In different countries, certain animals sell for lots of money.
Because they are deadly man-eaters, that is why......
Hunting is conservation
There’s nobody that takes care of animals better than responsible hunters
Un reportage scandaleux. Laissez les ours où ils sont . C est tellement beau a regarder ! Aucune justification a les tuer
Pauvre tache , reste à regarder ton match de foot avec tes pizzas 💩🤮
