This seems a lot better than the 8 hour intensive studying session me and my friends did in preparation for our chem final lmao. Though we did break for dinner in between
@@sequinjin8332it's actually a really good method, because the human brain typically isn't able to fully concentrate for longer than 15-20 mins. So if you take a break after 20 minutes your brain can 'reset' in the next 20 mins and you're able to study way more effectively in the for the next 20 min session than if you studied for 60 min straight.
@@viola1066 I'm not talking about the video, I'm talking about the comment. The video is a very good study method but the person in the comment said they did an intensive 8 hour study session rather than studying in fragments and taking time off. So yeah, I agree with you. A study session should never be that long because that implies you're doing it on a time crunch and at the last minute rather than doing just a few hours a day spread out. 8 at once is too long and doesn't do much for the brain, aka pseudo-working. Maybe like 2-3 hours a few days a week rather than one super long session.
What’s interesting is that 20 minute working session then break is great! However, it can’t be a long break where you totally become distracted and lose focus. Really the optimal break is around 5 minutes, then 20-30 minutes working, then repeat.
@sequinjin8332 Yeah no I'll stick to my 12 straight hour study marathon than spending money buying treats at a café and gaming and calling it "studying"

The Pomodoro technique is 20 minute intervals of productiveness, followed by a brief 5-minute break. After four consecutive Pomodoros, take a 30-minute break. This is the method I use and it works for me. I think her method of 20 minutes on/20 minutes off would make me feel unproductive, but if it’s working for her and her friends, who am I to judge? We all have different needs, so just because it doesn’t work for me doesn’t mean that’s true for others.
@@IndieCindy3 Yeah, I never personally liked the pomodoro thing, but to me, doing something for as long as you aren't just seems really unproductive. i have adhd and this method has worked so well for me ! i’ll try study for half an hour then watch an episode of a show and alternate between the two i’ve ended up getting about 3 hours of study in a day which is a massive achievement for me
Idk if anyone else relates to this, but I always get stuck in a bad mindset when studying (especially for writing). Like, when I start an essay I’m just like "well, I need to get the entire thing done rn or else I didn’t really do anything" instead of having the mindset of working on it piece by piece. Then I always just end up frantically getting it done at the last second 😭
That’s called an all or nothing mindset or black and white thinking. I deal with that too and what helps me is to estimate how long each assignment/reading should take and then split it into 15 minute chunks, I call them shifts. After that I organize my shifts so that there is a good amount of time between each one. For example: History takes an hour to study for, French takes 45 minutes, Psychology takes 30 minutes. I alternate in this order: History, French, Psych, History, French, Psych, History, French, History. With this method I don’t get too tired out on one thing to the point I do nothing else. It helps me at least get started on some things. It also means I can easily take a break when I need to. I usually take a 15 minute break every 45 minutes. I still sometimes don’t finish the remaining amount until the last minute but having to do 75% of it last minute instead of 100% is very helpful.
Yeah I have this, I have spent 72 hours awake just getting one assignment done. You can't really change it so the best thing to do is give yourself breaks, not like this girl did though

The pomodoro study with mes are the only way I can focus otherwise I get distracted so easily 😅
If I was studying with my friends, we would just end up gaming lol
Okay so I get that it helps with studying but what happens when you're in the workforce and you have to do this all day long? Are you going to take 20 minute breaks? How are you ever going to work a few hours solid on something?
I see macbook and Starbucks i know these people never studied once in their life
anyone else who watches people be productive with 20 min screen time per 2-3 hours and realising myself I have been watching these continuously from the past 3 hours? I need to be productive 😭
The song is Oblivion for anybody wondering
Girl talks faster then god rap💀
Tyy I’m a chronic procrastinator and my dream is to get into Cornell ever since I saw your channel I fell I love with the university and it give me hope that me and my laziness can make it✨🥹
I know that feeling :) but I am sure you will it through university!
Of course you have a short attention span if you study in a cafe with 4 different devices and friends around you
i mean, she's bringing her friend BECAUSE she has a short attention span... I also have a very short one, and couldn't study properly even if I was alone with textbooks and nothing else.
@@zwnjjI think my problem is idk how to filter it, I have constant thoughts on my mind of doing something different, and it makes me do my work slower.
Exactly, not everyone has the money to buy a coffee and a cake everyday, especially students
Used this website super helpful for my procrastination TYSMMMM
The game you play make me stress asf because the longer you ay the harder the levels 💀
NahBrO the game is easy af all throughout and its satisfying and fun because its supposed to be
Real title:
Best study method for rich college students that can afford to go to a cafe everyday and own 2000 worth of tech for school
girl just go to a library stfu
Nah, you can do it at your home with a pc and a console or mobiles. I think that it is actually a good study method that may help someone.
it’s just a coffeeshop and a tablet....
@@user-ju6fw7ge6f starbuck which I think is where she is going is minimum 20/30$ every time you go and order coffee plus snacks and other stuff.
The laptop she was rocking is easily 1000$ idk precisely, and the tablet also another 1000$ with the pen and whatnot
chill, you can do this at home💀
step no. 1: make friends
BRO THIS APPEARED ON MY FYP AFTER IM DONE WITH EXAMS
I lost you from the part where you said you have to find a study buddy
Girl my practice exams are 3 hours long how am I meant to
did i miss something or did u not take short breaks in the pomodoro?? just curiouss
also i rewatched and noticed this and then my brain went like:
✨i think there's been a glitch~✨
Yeah I think it’s supposed to be a 5 minute break but I’m not sure, she did call it the “long break timer” so I guess there’s different settings?
She didn't use the pomodoro technique, you can't spend half your time gaming and be productive
I’m obsessed with that game
The 90/30 split is where it’s at
the study habit that helped me get straight 1.00 (its the highest grade in my country) grades and also be exempted from final examinations, is not being too stressed if i dont get the right answers the first time in lectures and short pop quizzes but learn from mistakes.
Also prioritize on sleep but not too much, just enough that you will not feel to exhausted for the next day and also taking notes during lectures and reading it when i get home because as much as we would not want to admit it but CONSTANT RECALL is key for FAMILIARIZATION AND MEMORIZATION.
All my finals being online and at home with cheat sheets 👁👄👁
u look just like shubble!!!
i always wanted this technique cuz it acc works for me, but i don't got a study buddy lmfao- people from my major are the ones that study alone and my best friend distracts me and i never get work done
You know what helps me study, the fear of failing a class I’m going into debt for.. ig daddy’s money takes that motivation away
Why is her Whole personality be in college students like it’s getting boring
It's her content though- I mean, no hate or anything but no one is forcing you to watch her videos, people do find it both entertaining and helpful:^
this is exactly how I study!!! it works amazing
Bro I’m the type of person to be so productive and motivated if I had worked with someone else but I don’t have a single friend so don’t even thing of a study buddy 😂
"Get yourself a study buddy" I give up
this helped me so much thank you!
Omg love that game and now I’m actually exited for school to start again lol
The thing that bothers me is that every time I try to go study with my friends they just keep being on their phones and they don’t study so that’s really annoying.
