- I don't know if I should make a "GAY SIREN" joke or "SKITTLES/LIFESAVERS" joke. Either one is pretty good.
On that note, this is my first Modulator siren I went to record, and for the record, it was amazing. I was with my mother who's an amazing person, and is the reason why I get to the siren tests on time. I don't know what I'd do without her, honestly.
I will say, this is also the first time I went to the siren and actually took off my hearing protection, because I'm only 16 and I don't want my hearing to get damaged by something I'm interested in. This siren was rather loud during the voice test, but when the siren did go off, it was pretty quiet. And both of us noticed the fact that near the end of the alert, the speaker drivers started to mess up. I'm going to bet maybe the speakers need to be replaced, or it was radio issues. It also needs a paint job, not as shiny as it used to be.
Monroe County tests on the last Wednesday of the month at 10am.
This siren is located at Stoneco park off Monroe Charter Township, in Monroe County, Michigan.
I like how the voice is very clear!
this is a test of the monroe county early warning siren system repeating this is a test of the monroe county early warning siren system this is only a test
What? It's a low-pitched alert instead of a high-pitched alert. Why's that?
I can see rainbow on the siren
This siren has had blown drivers for at least 10 years. I recorded it 5 years ago. I was actually at the 2001 on Dunbar road not far from this siren today
Modulators are just bad excuses.
