You are such an excellent teacher Glenda; when you saw you going slightly “off” you said so and corrected - we need to hear that experienced seamstresses do this but show us how to move on. Plus, your camera angle is perfect. Thank you.
Jennett Sutton - Thanks for your lovely comments. Problems while stitching happen to all of us...you just need to take a deep breath and move on as best as possible.
Although I am an experienced sewer I love watching these video's, Glenda you make things so clear and easy to follow. Even with experience you can pick up tips, you never stop learning.
Dear Thelma, Thank you so much for the feedback. I, like you, am constantly learning and refreshing my own knowledge. Life long learning...and it's great.
10-15-16 You are a good instructor. You explain everything step by step. Keep up the good work. I wish you were in my life 30 years ago, I would be a seamstress by now. Please do a video on how to change necklines on a pattern example round neck, v-neck, sweet heart neck and others. Thanks
Hi Sandra - how to change neckline is actually found in the Sure-Fit Designs How-To DVD tutorials and can be purchased from the surefitdesigns dot com website.
Great video, thank you! I'm wearing pants made in my sewing class right now and I see that we overlocked the elastic with the cut edge of the pant and then used a straight stitch once it was folded over, so that's also an option :)
Or is the front less pulled in than the back with the elastic? Some elastic waist pants has a smooth front panel with elastic across the back. I need help with what can be done for a pretty finished pants waist line.
Glenda, you are the best teacher I have ever seen in fashion design industry.

Good info! Thank you!
Will the back half from side seam to side seam need about 1/4 inch more elastic than the front half because of the human rump?
