Love this Rosie! I love how you’re going through different colours and three different styles! At a time like this with everything going on it’s nice to watch something pleasant like this! Stay safe Rosie and hope you’re well xx
Gorgeous cakes, I would of liked to see how you removed the dark blue fondant and fixed your frosting so you could recover..Other than not sharing your mistake ( we all learn from mistakes), I loved your video and your cakes. Thank you !
Thanks for the lovely cakes Rosie! I especially liked the watercolour one. Another idea for deepening the quilt lines could be to use the fondant stitching tool. That gives it a slightly different look :)
yessss definitely! I was literally looking for this, but I couldn't find it. I cut it out of the video, but before the purple tool, I tried the little wheel tool, but without the teeth for the stitch. I was devastated I couldn't find it haha! I know it's hiding somewhere.
Loved all 3 and the overall relaxed storyline which is not common. You've set a trend. Why limit yourself in kitchen when there are other areas in the house 👌 needless to say we might see you next to your inspiration one day... ie in the garden or in twelve apostles 🤔 Anyway, stay safe and healthy please... Are we seeing Easter creations? Love & prayers from my family to yours.. ❣️🙏😇
Thank you so much Grand.Gala for the kind comment! hahah 12 Apostles, I wish ;) that's about 4.5 hours from where I live. Such a beautiful scene though. Ironically I have been forced out of the kitchen for the voice over sections as the quarantine means I share the kitchen with 5 other people. It just wasn't an option lol! Please keep safe and healthy as well! I will do my best to squeeze one in actually. I completely forgot it was Easter!
Tku, lovely work and you're the first you tube cake decorator who demonstrates food handling hygiene. Most don't mention it. It's quite off putting to see how much DNA is in fondant. Food handling gloves work well and if tight you can dust with corn flour or spray with veg oil, depending on what you're doing, they also protect your hands from the colouring. Don't know why more people don't use them or promote food hygiene. Have seen people touch hair and face, eyes, pets, different surfaces and then straight back into kneading the fondant without a second thought. Sorry for my pet peeve rant, just refreshing to see your professional food handling skills. Keep up the good work.
Love your videos Rosie! I used that white Wilton food colour you showed in ganache recently & it seemed to seize the ganache... is there a seperate white colour for ganache, or chocolate based toppings?
Natasha Vella i think if you make a white choc ganache the ratio changes for double cream:choc (3 parts choc to 1 part double cream) . Coverture white choc to make ganache works good. Also Gel food colouring rather than liquid colours.
Hi I want to know if I have 5 inch cake pans can I stack them like you just did to make it high like yours? Meaning can I stack four 5 inch cakes on it other Or is it a rule for 5 inch cakes on how many layers u can do? I saw someone else video and they just did two 5 inches on top of each other and that was it. I really want to make it a tall cake but I’m not sure if I can do what I want to do.
Hi Rashika, this is a great question. On fondant it works a charm because the moisture sinks into the dough. However, ganache would have a lot of fat in there from the cream, as would buttercream. The fat might resist the paint and create little driplets. Having said that, I remember doing this a while back on an all butter based buttercream and it worked a charm though. So definitely worth a try :) sorry I wasn't more helpful here! x
Hi Nisha, I store my cakes in the fridge, even when covered in fondant. some people don't as the cake sweats once it comes back to room temp. To avoid this, you can store the cake in the fridge in an air tight cake box / wrap plastic wrap around the cake box so no moisture gets to the cake :)
So beautiful lovely. Sweet desserts 🙏💟💟👌👌
