Make sure you wash your ruler before you use it on the cake, if you have one at your house. I love that spoon texture idea it looks fancy it's such a good idea. That cake came out great.

What I do is get a big bowl and turn it upside down then work on top of it, it's easier for me than flat on the table...yours is a good alternative too...thank u

I love flowers on top of cakes but I was wondering is it safe to just lay artificial flowers on top of the cake?
I quick wash & rinse and dry them, sometimes attach to a small disk with frosting or wrap foil around stems where they touch the frosting.
