They should change the colour of organic Instagram verification
Agreed! We say that a lot, it'd be optimal if the paid verification is one colour and the notability verification is another. Same with Twitter, etc, otherwise it devalues it - C

Ads for sure. They're the most guaranteed way of getting the reach you need with your exact target audience - C

SOS -I have major publications (5+), press from a Reality tv show recently showing/aired but IG keeps saying “verification wasn’t reviewed because you used a personal photo I.D.” I have used a clear pic of my passport as well as drivers license. It allows me to try again days later, but Unsure why this is happening?
Interesting. I googled and it looks like others have received that error when they're applying as a business. Did you apply as a business or as a personal account? It makes logical sense to receive that error if you applied as a business but submitted personal ID. Hope that helps - C
@@Highseasonco Hey thx. I applied as a personal account (as I’ve never altered settings). I added “Jr.” to my name as it says that on my I.D. So perhaps that may help? Should I switch to a “professional account?” Unsure if that matters. It doesn’t have me awaiting 30 days which is cool-just frustrating that it continues to say the same error message about a personal photo when that’s not evident.
@@ShadomanG Yeah it could help. If you did apply personally then there's no reason for that error. If you have access to the publicist from the reality show, that might be helpful, too. They usually have a direct line to Meta. If you're getting verified as you expect brand collabs and such coming, it'd be optimal to switch to a professional account as a Creator and apply from there. You can do that later if it continues to mess up - C

It's more a "pay to be at the top of search", and it's available on both Creator and Business accounts - C

Hi, are you referring to applying for verification and you've been placed on a wait list for it? If that's the case, it'd be because they received an influx of applications and they review all of them manually - C

You don't have to use your real name as a Creator, you just need to submit your real ID - C
@@Highseasonco Oh so they changed that since the launch of Meta verification? I remember when it first came out in order to be meta verified you have to use the same name that matches on your identification card.
@@blackwidow8805 As far as I'm aware, it should be fine. I don't recall that issue but it's worth giving it another try if you have the 5 major publications links - C

How many followers do you need to have to get approved?
If you're referring to notability verification, it's not based on followers; you need to prove that you're "notable" and they use things like media artists in globally-recognized publications to warrant that. You could be notable but have 5 followers. If you're referring to the business side of verification, followers also aren't a factor; it's more about how long you've had the account, do you use it daily, are you a real business etc. Hope that helps - C

They don’t show the people who organically follow my business my posts. I followed accounts because I was interested . Let’s face it paid verification is primarily a money grab.
