I was always taught as a pro MUA with liquid products to put them on the back of your hand, then either dab on with fingers, or pick up with a brush/sponge/spatula. I find this the easiest way to avoid skipping or clinging rather than just putting dots onto your face which will disturb your base☺️
Same, I never understood why people put it straight onto their face
The Maybelline sunkissers, my daughter suggested maybe put it on the back of ur hand and use ur brush to get the product evenly on the brush. Maybe it won't be splotchy and won't leave dots. Idk that was her suggested.

Ive bought my first Wild deo like 4 years ago and I still use it but mostly only after shaving because I figured it doesnt sting like the others, the smell of all of them is amazing!! BUT, I feel like they do not really help with sweating much, I still smell bad after a while and the worst part for me is that it leaves awful white stains on my clothes.....especially if I put it on before putting on my clothes but also when I take em off
@kamii310 wild is a deodorant not an anti perspirant so you it wouldn't really help with the sweat. That's the reason why I don't buy wild as I sweat quite badly

I have the Glotion and love it! I'm a "no-makeup" girlie with very dry, fair skin, so I feel like it works for me because of those two factors. I find highlighter on bare skin looks odd on me because it looks like a stripe, but I still want some glow. I use it all over my face and then put a light dusting of powder over the areas where I don't want too much shine. And add a little bit of concealer where I need it. The Glotion helps the concealer blend over my skin. But I think the reason that it works is because reflectivity doesn't look too stark on my skin tone because it's already so white anyway lol
SOPH! For the lumi glowtion, use the lightest shade and just put it on the high points of your face where you would put highlighter under your foundation! It makes a beautiful glow-from-within that looks natural and healthy.

Having dry skin myself (that's also sensitive), the Glotion is AMAZING. You can use it alone, you can powder just the parts you don't want quite as "shiny," you can use it under foundation, or you can use it overtop has a highlighter. I've loved it!!
Can confirm, the made by Mitchell skin products are dry skin approved 🙋♀️ I love it blended out with a sponge, and the concealer with a brush so basically the opposite of what you did haha 💕

The NYX pen is awesome... However, I recently bought the Maybelline Build A Brow in Black Brown... I LOVE IT!!! I don't need the gel end because I recently shaved my brows but the color and the point of the pen is amazing to make hair like strokes. I also use the NYX eyebrow pen in Black, to make a few black strokes in between the black/brown Maybelline hair strokes. Makes my eyebrows actually look natural lol

Love your product reviews as you show the good & the bad sides of the products, regardless of whether they're high or low prices 💜 BTW it looks like we can buy Essence make-up in The Range now too, which I guess makes sense as I believe they bought Wilko out after it closed. @Oopsydaiseee sorry, I'm disabled & housebound - I haven't been in a shop, physically, for several years now, so i'm not sure if it's available instore as well, or not 😅 I did ask my carer today, as she uses some essence products, & she said she couldn't find it in our local The Range, but I guess it may vary store to store 🤷♀️

I love the glotion! My "makeup routine" is literally just tinted brow gel, pencil liner, and some glotion on my cheeks, nose, and eyes. Love. It. I've used it for years, now 😂

Soph! What are the other skin tints you’d recommend? I’m always looking for the best ones, currently using the collection dupe you reviewed about a year ago but I’m in between 2 of their shades so need to find a good one!
Ich looove the pink essence mascara! Been using it for years now and it hasn't ever let me down. But I'd say the formula isn't that dry at all. More like a little too wet for the first 2 days after opening it. I usually do 1 coat of this one and then a 2nd one with the black extreme.
And yes, I also have to stop myself before going crazy with it 😅
I agree about the dots from the Maybelline bronzers/brushes. It is not just you. It’s also not worth it to try and force it to work.

I've not tried the YSL lipsticks so I might be wayyy off but I feel like the no 7 sheer temptation lipsticks might be a dupe! The formula looks so similar, both very hydrating

I do like the Catrice Slimmatic pens, but they're pencils (like Benefit - equally thin), and I just don't get the same natural result as with Nyx. However, I can't buy Nyx in stores, which is annoying. Maybelline is in Kruidvat, a very common Dutch drugstore, so if they're similar, I'm going to have a major haul 😅.

Those Maybelline bronzers: I feel like they work better if you dot some on the back of your hand, and dip your brush in. That worked better for me, and gave me a better seamless finish
