I’m so glad you mentioned maple syrup. Every time I drink Bunnhabhain 12, that’s the first thing that jumps out at me, starting on the nose, but especially on the palate. It’s on the verge of almost being overpowering but instead the other notes round it out to make for an enjoyable dram. Nice review :)
Great rewiew! I think Bunnahabhain 12 is one of the best, affordable, 12yo whisky....together with Deanston 12, Kilkerran 12, Glenallachie 12, Edradour 12 Caledonia and Glen Garioch 12..
Thanks Mats! I agree, the Kilkerran possibly being my favourite of the ones I’ve tried out of those. I have yet to try the Eradour but it’s on the list!
Thanks! Yeah it’s just for effect for the videos but you’re right it would have done if they were there long enough. The blinds were constantly closed so sunlight never hit them but they’re all in a different spot now :)
Great comparison, out of the 2 I found I prefered the Stiuireadair over the 12, however that may be due to having a dodgy bottle with a very rotten cork. Seen both fall below £30 and certainly good value. Cheers.
@@WhiskyWars just had to hunt for my notes 😂. I felt the NAS had more citrus and limes in there with more salt. For me I felt the 12 is a bit too floral and subdued. Really want to do a side by side comparison now 😂

You’re welcome! It’s always nice when someone else gets the same note in a whisky, cheers!

Agree with all of those. Old Pulteney 12 is also one of my staples and normally can find it at a good price.
I’m going to try that one soon, £24 where I am so it’s really affordable!
Love the comparison 😄
thank you :)
Thanks man, great vid! Btw, aren't you worry about sunlight hitting those bottles on your windoow-sill?

@@WhiskyWars Oh, ok ;) I have some bottles on windowstill, but like you I keep my blinds closed ;)

interesting, what was it that you preferred from it?

@@JeffWhisky haha side by sides help me so much! I'm gonna look out for your notes on it next time I pour for sure
