@@dpmusic21 Coming from Mackie HR824 MK2's, they're a step up. Midrange clarity and transient response was the first thing i noticed. The 310's are definitely better. 310's have much more bottom end, transient response is great, clarity across the spectrum is great. It's what you'd expect when a single speaker costs more than a pair of the FP03's lol. If you're able to get the 310's, get those instead. If your budget is $2,100, go with the FP03's.
@@DjXCENTRiC eh at that point you’re getting into the weeds a bit. They’re great monitors, there’s a reason they’re so expensive. I would choose the KH310’s over the FP03’s if I could (I think most would as well), I just don’t have the budget right now.
@@JakeLewisReal I'm looking to upgrade. I just got the HEDD Type 20's mk2 and I just sent them back today. The volume levels are horrible, very low in volume and peak extremely fast. Not worth the price IMO! I've been stalking those Neumanns lol.. But the tweeters are throwing me off....

Awesome! I've been waiting for someone else to pull the trigger on these. There's zero reviews on these guys ( as of March 2024 ), so I'm excited to hear your opinion.
I would love to have those monitors, you are blessed to have them. Barefoot monitors IMO are some of the best on the market. Next step room treatment? Would take those Barefoots to a whole new level.
When I got these, I went overboard on treatment, and it sounds amazing. But the revolutionary part of the speakers is because they’re small you don’t have to go crazy with room treatment like other three-way speakers
I got these almost a month ago, and it was almost impossible to get a pair. But I second with what he’s talking about. Tonight I was mixing a track and getting angry because I kept hearing this dirt in my bass and couldn’t find it. If you’re used to mixing on two-way speakers. It will take you a little bit to get used to the three-way mix. Because the speakers are revealing tell you exactly what’s going on in the song. Like no joke I was listening to Justin Timberlake’s new album on my Soundsystem being blown away by the mix. And then I decided to listen to his album on the speakers, and heard all the tricks that they did in the studio from EQ cuts to where instruments lie in the mix.
how bout a update on the monitors and maybe a sample mix? also quick question do you know if its possible to add a subwoofer to the monitors is there a way to cancel certain frequencies ?
Hey man your video is beautiful and your room is stylish but you need acoustic panels! Especially with that window behind the computer. It'll make much more of a change than any monitor switch 😊
How would you calibrate them using sonarworks Ref ID if they have 3 different MEME settings on it.? And do you think, you would have to calibrate the room for each MEME option.
Heyyy man, would love to see some kind of a after 6 months of using Barefoots or something like that! Currently considering the Focal Alpha Twin Evo + Focal Sub One vs Barefoot Footprints 03. I produce a bass-heavy music so this was a bit helpful! What would you recommend?
With the port towards the wall like that i'm not sure you get the right sound. More those windows in your front. Nice view for sure. All my monitors of my choice have the port in front. I'm very curious about these speakers since they have 3 positions from where sound is coming from, as well the company reputation & attractive price. As trained mastering engineer i say that getting to know your speakers for more than 6 months by listening on them will improve the decisions you make regardless the speakers brand as long they are decent.
Dope!!!! I want these, but they’d be too big for the desk (I measured 😂) & room I’m in sooo…I’ll stick with my Neumann KH120s for a bit longer, which have been translating well thankfully. Also, for monitor pads, I switched from the foam pads like you’re using to the IsoAcoustics IsoPucks & I believe they are an improvement! You should check them out. Thanks & have a great day!
thank you! i currently have the kh120ii, but as they are very neutral and clinical i'm thinking of getting a second pair of monitors, which should be more fun. At first I thought about getting the focal twin evo that you had before. However, as I was also considering buying reference monitors such as the ns10 or mixcubes, I came across the barefoots. Would you say that the barefoots have this "fun factor" in contrast to the kh120ii and would be worthwhile as 2nd pair next to them (or maybe even to replace them)?
This is exactly why i ended up getting some Dynaudio LYD48 to pair with the Neumann KH120 (i have the first gen). While I appreciated the Neumann's for mixing, they were too clinical for producing or just vibing to music. I also felt like the KH120 are better for fine tuning mixes rather than building mixes. In other words, they are clinical that I was hearing the individual elements instead of hearing the mix. The LYD-48s provided exactly what I was looking for. They are great for producing and I love starting my mixes on them and building up the main body of the mix. The analogy I use is the -LYD48s allow me to see the entire forest better. The KH120s allow me to see the individual trees in the forest better.
Hello Your speakers are too low for optimal listening, you may have phase problems. The MEME technology is just equalizations, which you can get in plugins or for example by using ARC Studio which processes your room and allows you to simulate about twenty different speakers, it works very well! The disadvantage of these FP3s is that they can't do mastering, so you would have to add a sub to them to go below 30Hz. Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm French, forgive me, if I made mistakes!
Heya, Have you tried with different stands? I had those initially and moving to proper filled stands was an ear opener and I would never go back to unfilled resonant sounding stands. Your pc monitor can also fuck with center image if it's in front of the monitors like it seems here. Not trying to be a hater, if you have time to test it wouldn't hurt heh, you might be fine but just an observation :)
ayyee i appreciate the comment bro. i actually ordered a pair of sound anchor stands at the same time that I bought the monitors. they won't be here for a couple of weeks but i'm 100% with you on that
You have to treat your room my friend. You can clearly hear when you are talking there is a lot of reverb in your room. No speaker kan fix this. Room first then speaker. ✌️
How are they now after using them for some months? Very curious
congratulations bro ive been here since the first year of the channel glad to see you grinding and updating🔥💯
Mine come in tomorrow. Super amped, nice video!
Let us know how they sound. Really curious about these compared to the 8341s and kh310

do they shut off the other two drivers for the cube setting and only use two for the Old School? or is it just an EQ slapped on the final chain?
