Thank you, Professor! Now I know which nerve in my body is causing me so much pain. I wish you could teach Anatomy to the general physician, who kept insisting that it was my sciatic nerve because "the sciatic nerve runs from the lower back through the abdominal region and down to the anterior side of the thigh next to the genital area." I knew he was wrong, but since I didn't want to quarrel, I kept quiet and decided I would find the answer by myself. Which I have just done. Thank you again!
Thank you for covering this! I had an extremely rare incident occur in 2020 that continues to cause issues now. I have been trying to learn as much as I can about the pelvic anatomy as possible. Appreciate your work.
Which nerve would be causing chronic pain in right testicle? The testicle and scrotum can be in any position up or down. The pain is still there. Definitely not epyditimus hypertension.
I have a slipped disc with sciatica pain. Now it's radiated to the genetformal area and is so painful. Thank you for this. Pain killers and anti inflammatories don't work!
Thanks a lot, I know now from where come my pain , genitofemoral nerve is maybe damage from surgey of 20 years ago, and just now I begin to have pain, It s very strange after all that years , ...??
Now, hello there Sam! First of all, I watch your videos for years, thank you so much for the opportunity to gain all this knowledge for free. I learn so much and it makes so much fun! I was wondering whether you could make a video about 'posture', so which muscles are involved with posture and all the background that you can give within this topic. As a massage therapist I notice that a lot of pain and issues come from bad posture and not having 'a good bodyfeeling' and that it is very much connected with the general wellbeing. It would be very interesting to look at posture from a fundamentally level and maybe you could even explain proprioception, that is so interesting but I can't graspe it yet =)=) Cheers from Switzerland
I do believe this is the cause of my pain especially after running. Would this nerve be the cause for instability and core weakness, most notably when leaning over and lifting your leg, as if to put a pair of pants on or tie your shoe?
"IF" those nerves get "cut", does the pain go away? As in intentional "cutting" to rid of pain from damage from unknown damage downstream? So in general, can you "cut" problematic nerves, does the pain go away, yes obviously you loose the nerve, so things go numb, but if pain is extensive, its a good price to pay?
Thank you Dr Webster, a very informative video. In your view, can abdominal adhesions and/or scar tissue from surgery cause genitofemoral neuralgia? And if the adhesions are treated surgically, will the neuralgia resolve? Thank you.
Hi, thought the genital branch of the GF nerve innervated the cremaster and the Ilioinguinal nerve innervated the mons pubis, anterior scrotum and labia majora as well as the superomedial thigh?
GF nerve definitely gives sensory to the anterior thigh, the same area that you feel if you put your hand in your pants pocket. This nerve is often cut during pelvic lymph node dissections and people get an anterior and medial thigh numbness.
I had a traumatic fall on my greater trochanter top of femur on 5th sep 2022 prob 7 weeks ago i had intense pain in the groin area couldnt walk for a while pain is getting better but i have a tingling burning sensation in my testicles im just wondering could this be caused by a fall? If so can it heal on its own or should i see a doctor? Thanks.

Very informative explanation. Thank you.

No. It has no role in core weakness, lifting leg, etc..
Thank you
Thanks 🙏

Saw your reply and thought I would comment I believe I have a adhesion or an impingement in the genitofemoral nerve
How can we fix genitofemoral nerve entrapment?
